Without a doubt Wal-Mart does carry certain types of product  that is sold where there is little difference or  no difference in quality, such as certain electronics and things where name brand recognition is hard to re-make in China, for less.  These are not the items I had in mind when I was discussing Wal-Mart’s “cheap crap”.  It’s the items like furniture and clothing where at the end of the day, little discount is realized by the customer, but the margins are high for Wal-Mart.

So I can buy a TV at Sears for .01 penny more than Wal-Mart.  What’s the buying power savings I am supposed to realize by shopping at a place that pays it’s employees less?

First, you claimed that things are marked up at Macy’s and Sears that you could buy at Wal-Mart, but the only example you provided was SONY televisions.  I proved that SONY televisions are cheaper by .01, more proof of Wal-Mart’s dishonest strategy to lure customers in with loss leaders but not really having the savings.
