Michael Moore Under Investigation By The Treasury Department
For possibly violating the trade embargo with Cuba during the filming of his new movie Sicko.
LOS ANGELES—Oscar-winning director and White House nemesis Michael Moore is under investigation by the U.S. Treasury Department.
The Associated Press has obtained a copy of a letter notifying Moore that he’s the target of a civil investigation for traveling to Cuba in possible violation of the trade embargo.
I posted previously on Moore’s trip to Cuba. The deal is that he took several folks with health problems stemming from 9/11 down to the communist nation for health care. Apparently to prove that socialized, state-run medicine is superior to America’s health care. Or something like that.
Personally, I think that if Moore is found guilty of violating the trade embargo with Cuba his punishment should be having to actually use a Cuban hospital when his heart inevitably begins to give out under the strain of all those Cheetos and milkshakes. And I’m sure he’d be happy to. Since, you know, communist health care is so much better than our American system.
