Michael Jackson Stopped By Police

I've heard he's been having money problems, but Wal Mart? Sheesh...

From My Way News:

Michael Jackson was pulled over by police and asked to identify himself after shopping at a Wal-Mart while wearing a ski mask.

An employee called police Tuesday, police Lt. Bill Kimminau said. The employee gave a description of the vehicle and Jackson was stopped a short time later.

Authorities asked Jackson to identify himself, which he did by removing his mask.

"There were no problems, and that was it," Kimminau said.

Jackson spokeswoman Raymone Bain said the incident was a trifle.

"The police car pulled to the side and just asked that he show his face, and he did, and that was it," Bain said. "There was no altercation or any kind of encounter."

My question is, what probable cause did the police have for pulling him over? According to the article the officer didn't ask to search his car, only to see Jackson's face. I would be suspicious of a man shopping with a ski mask over his face, but does a shopper have to show their face? As long as their not paying in a method that requires identification, of course.

I'm no fan of Michael Jackson. My personal opinion is that he probably has molested a few kids in his day, but sometimes I wish the press would leave the guy alone. He brings a lot of the attention on himself, of course, but sometimes it seems like the press is going out of its way to bring the poor guy trouble.

I disagree. I think you have to look at the wefare of the masses over one persons actions. I think the police handled it quite well. They identify the guy and then let him go whats the big deal. I would it would happen to you and i if we did it as well so he not being signaled out. dad

I agree with Dad.  If I was in Wal-Mart and saw a shopper in a ski mask I would leave the store because the guy is either a robber or crazy.

A shopper in a ski mask is asking for trouble.  Especially in California.  At a Wal Mart???  In these days I think police stopping a guy in a ski mask and asking him to show his face is absolutely the right thing to do.  I do agree though that he should be left alone.  He’s a waste of air space in more ways than one.
