Mets Get “RickRolled”

There are times when I’m not so sure the internet is a good thing.

How can people even afford a ticket to a major league baseball game, let alone be able to buy enough ballpark beer, to have to “pee”, in this George Bush economy?

I’m not familiar with the expression

“ to rickroll “

what does it mean?

I understand some people voted for Rick Astley’s song, but I do not get the expression…

( serious question )

Never gonna let you down

To Rickroll is to intentionally misdirect one to a video of “Never Gonna Give You Up” from one-hit-wonder 80’s pop icon Rick Astley. Basically, it’s the gayest and most insincere song ever, and we can tell the difference. This tactic gets its name in part from the duckroll through the similar intent of pissing off everyone by deception. Linking to a video of “Never gonna give you up” or some variant thereupon has become the new Goatse. Not to be confused with a Barrel roll
