Media Absolves Obama For Calling A Reporter “Sweetie”

Why not?  They absolved him for having a spiritual leader and personal mentor who damns America and thinks AIDS was a plot by the government to wipe out blocks.

Anyone else thinking things would be a bit different if John McCain had called someone “sweetie?”

It’s condescending at the very least. Typically demeaning to use on folk outside your circle of acquaintance as well.

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

The journalists covering his campaign may have bought him fewer doughnuts.

Yes it would be very different. You have a relatively young man (B. Obama) and an old geezard (J. McCain).
Y’all know what they say about dirty old men don’t you?

Wonder how he would have handled it if she replied “sure thing, boy.”

If she was older than him, it would be acceptible.
Otherwise it would be ...... You fill the blank.
Now go and wash your mouth.

Rob,
This is so petty.

watashiwa:

This is so petty.

Actually it isn’t.  Every time an unscripted Obama opens his mouth, he reveals who and what he really is.

A condescending “Sweetie” to an adult female reporter.

A condescending “They cling to their guns and their Bibles.”

An absurd “57 states”.

and on and on…

Only for people obsessed with trivia. That’s why this blog has more stories on his bowling scores than his health care proposals.
