McCain Signs Amicus Brief In Washington DC Gun Ban Case

Speaking of the DC gun ban, it appears as though John McCain has added his name to an amicus brief featuring 55 other Senators and VP Dick Cheney urging the Supreme Court to uphold a lower court ruling overturning the ban.

Good on him for that.

Wow, I am impressed for once.  This is the first time in a long while that John Mccain has done something that I agree with.  If he keeps this up, I might vote for him yet.

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

Dougee.  His illegal alien try was a bad mistake, but he has sided on the ‘right’ for most of his career.

Chief RZ: Well said!  John McCain is our only hope of stopping a liberal democrat White House/Congress in the next session!  I hope others come to realize that.

"Here lies, in honored glory, an American soldier, known but to God.”

The stakes are high. Whether the issue is the economy, or energy, or the federal courts or national security, the right answers are coming not from the Democrats, but from the Republicans. The surge of operations that began a year ago is succeeding. The only way to lose this fight is to quit. Richard M. Cheney, Vice President, 30 May, 2008
