McCain Refuses To Endorse Palin For 2012

Palin was good enough when McCain need to give conservative Republicans someone to vote for on his ticket. But now that he’s back in the Senate and needs to rebuild his centrist, “maverick” credibility and renew his love affair with the liberal media?
Sarahcuda goes under the bus.
Here’s video of his remarks.

During our exclusive interview today on ‘This Week,’ Sen. John McCain refused to say whether he’d support Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin if she runs for president.
“Listen I have the greatest appreciation for Gov. Palin and her family and it was a great joy to know them,” McCain said. “She invigorated our campaign and she was just down in Georgia and she invigorated their campaign.”
“But I can’t say something like that,” McCain said, “We’ve got some great other young governors, Pawlenty, Huntsman.”

McCain could have done the diplomatic thing and say that it’s too early to be making endorsements. But he didn’t.
Given the way McCain and his hangers-on have treated Palin post-election I’ve lost a lot of respect for him. He was never a politician I supported, but he seemed above the back-stabbing politics of DC. Now, that clearly isn’t true.
For the record, Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and Utah Governor Jon Huntsman are both big-government Republicans in the McCain mold that, as nominees, would take the GOP further down the path its been on for the past eight years.

Soroscrat McCain is deeply corrupt. So deeply, maybe he doesn't even realize it. He just thinks he's smart and worldly, unlike rednecks like Palin, who actually believe all that God and guns and Constitution crap.

McCain's only interest is playing patty-cake with Soroscrats like Obama.

McCain has betrayed his country so often, most recently by throwing the election to a Maoist Jihadist illegal alien, that he has more than compensated for his heroism in the Hanoi Hilton. Whatever good he actually did for the COUNTRY in the Hanoi Hilton is as nothing compared with the treachery he has committed in the last three decades.

Do we need any more proof that Sarah is electable than this?

Far as I'm concerned, best thing to happen for Sarah since the election. McCain is finished in the republican party.

Why do I feel so depressed about all this. Are there no real principled conservatives left anywhere??

I didn't think McCain was one, but he is true to form turning on us all.

I am GLAD Obama is President Elect. Then when his administration goes to heck in an handbasket we won't have a R behind his (A Pres McCain) name. The incompetance charge will be firmly a D.

HE's a bad guy, McCain. Go Join Colin Powell, John. I'm thru with you. Wait, I was never that fired up except as an alternative to what we have now.

    Sarah, wherefore art thou?

OH, and what principle. She says to her Pastor, If this happened (the Arson) because of me, I am really sorry.

I hope they find this miscreant and treat him like a moose in Season in Alaska.

I'll even drive my Dodge Pickup there and strap him on my hood to drive around for a while.

McCain is not stupid enough to repeat his Palin mistake.

Pick someone more popular than he is?

I do agree with Mccain. If Palin is our candidate we are in big trouble in 2012 and will get eaten up and spit out. Yes, she may be a good conservative, but not in the mold we want. She just does seem intelligent to me. I hate to say it, but it's true. Let's find a conservative who plays the part and can talk the part.

I'd look towards people like Mark Sanford, Gary Johnson, former Gov. of New Mexico, etc. If Johnson could get some grassroots support early he would be a hell of a candidate. He plays and acts the part.

I meant to say Palin does "not" seem intelligent to me in the above post.

p.s Gary Johnson was originally from Minot.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, pcND.. But she seems smart enough to me, though. Straightened Alaska out pretty nicely.
Plus, the interviews where she messed up with Coric, Gibson were where she'd been force-fed McCain talking points.
When she cut loose on her own, such as the Biden debate, she looked positively brilliant.

However, I accept McCain's position. But "He" sunk his own campaign, not Palin.
    King of the wish-wash.

I am so sick of this asshole. He ran a horrible campaign, he wouldn't attack NOBAMA on his racist paster or questionable association until it made him look desperate. Thank god he is too old to run again. Whew…

  • RebTex

He's a coward & has been for a good while.
Now, he's obama's bitch running errands for him.

I think Sarah Palin is very smart and very real. She's too real for the media to accept. In 2012, if she is anything like she is today, I'll vote for her.

  • Smith

Let's remember some important facts about her.

She was in alaska focusing on her state issues and was picked out of nowhere to be vice president. It takes months to prepare for a national campaign and certainly days won't cut it. She needs media training and a good set of advisers.
She's plenty smart and I bet she can put up a fight in 2016 if she gets herself a kitchen cabinet!

I will wager a 'beverage of choice"…that Palin will NOT be the Rep. nomination for the 2012 election.

Right now, she's the best bet to flush Obamunism out of our system. Got someone better, who can get face time in the MSM for promoting conservative values and principles?
Or are you a leftie who fears her power?

    Could be.

We're a long way out, and a lot can happen between then and now.

But as of right now, I think it's Palin's to lose.
