McCain Raises $7 Million Since Announcing Palin As VP Yesterday

Consider the conservative base re-invigorated.

Sen. John McCain has taken in $7 million in contributions since announcing Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, a top campaign aide said today.
The money bounce may owe to Palin’s appeal with conservative donors, many of whom said privately they had planned on sitting out the campaign this year. The money comes in just under the wire — after McCain accepts the GOP nomination Thursday, he will accept public funds and no longer be permitted to raise private money for the campaign…
Shortly before Palin’s announcement, one senior RNC official said McCain’s pick “better like doing fundraising.”
Like almost everything else she does, hosting these events will be something of a new experience for Palin. When running for governor of Alaska in 2006, Palin raised a total of just $468,400.

Volunteerism among Republicans is up too. Meanwhile, scrambling Democrats have resorted to digging up old footage of Palin as a sports newscaster.

Oh my gosh! Palin had big hair!
She can’t possibly be VP!

I am very happy that McCain picked Governor Palin. Obama can’t talk about her being inexperienced because McCain can shut that talking point down right away. Also, if Biden is his arrogant self in the vp debate it will make him look very elitist!

I guess she pulled herself up by the bootstraps and is living the American dream with out the Democrats. It is refreshing to see someone other than a high and mighty Lawyer.

She’s got more executive leadership experience than all three of the other candidates in this race combined. Obama, Biden and McCain are all Senators. Legislators.

Palin has 12 years of executive experience as a mayor and governor.

And NOBAMA was a community Rable Rouser I mean organizer.
Yeah, I can’t wait till the left tries to use the she doesn’t have any experience argument. NOBAMA has none.

Sarah Palin is THE individual in the presidential campaign most qualified to be president. I say this because she has more private sector experience than Obama and Biden combigned.

Governor Palin worked alongside her husband as a commercial fisherman. So she knows that real people have to put thir blood and sweat into their work. She knows that money doesn’t grow on trees.

This contrasts sharply with Obama who never had a real job before going into politics. Obama has never bothered to worry about wasting money, because it has never been his own money. All he’s ever done is put his hand out and demand money from others.

And while Obama and Biden are knee deep in special interests (Biden is in the pocket of trial lawyers), Palin has taken on her won party to cut wasteful spending.

    I love this woman.

You seriously see this newscaster as someone who could eventually be a valid candidate for VP??? Are you kidding me????

No… A community organizer who never held a REAL JOB before going into politics as a sooooo much better candidate.

    HAHAHAHA

Sarah is a feminist. She got you because she recognizes things that harm the feminist movement?

I like the Palin choice for VP, but McCain undermines her credentials as a true conservative.

McCain is sometimes too liberal for my blood, but the “good” thing is he’s old, could die in office and we’d have a real president, Palin, taking the rains.

    So, McCain has my vote.

No, you lying piece of shit, we see a sitting governor where your lying piece of shit eyes see a newscaster. If she was still a newscaster like you claim then you might have a point, but as usual you’re just a lying piece of shit with no point, only lies.

You see Obama the “community organizer” as a valid candidate for President? Don’t forget that Palin’s political career is as long as Obama’s, and she’s accomplished one hell of a lot more during it.
