McCain: “Obama would rather lose a war in order to win a political campaign”

Truer words were never spoken.

Bob,

The Democrats settled on that standard (winning elections being more important than winning wars) back during Vietnam and have never reconsidered the wisdom of that position.

Poor McCain is really desperate.  Sad that he lacks the character to be above such empty person insults.

But, then again, he’s always lacked character - from his days as an underclassman at the Naval Academy near the bottom of his class, to his womanizing days after when he had affairs on his first wife and dumped her, to when he was being shuttled around by lobbyists, later to be censured for his role in the Keating Five and the bilking of thousands of Arizona retirees of their savings.

It is “really desperate” and lacking character to point out the truth?

Is this that “change” we’ve been hearing so much about? Pointing out the truth is now “desperate”.

Josey,

If you knew squat about the service academies, you’d know that more than a few who graduated in the bottom third (and more than one anchor man) have gone on to brilliant careers.

Obama would not have made it through plebe summer.

Rodney,

As I recall, the opposite also holds true.  Jimmy Carter graduated far higher in his class than did Jon McCain, and just look at the mess he made of the entire country… not to mention the Middle East!
