McCain is Fading

Couldn’t be fast enough for me.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Republican John McCain reorganized his campaign Monday, cutting staff in every department as he raised just $11.2 million in the last three months and reported an abysmal $2 million cash on hand for his presidential bid.

“We confronted reality and we dealt with it in the best way that we could so that we could move forward,” Terry Nelson, McCain’s campaign manager, said.

Once considered the front-runner for the GOP nomination, McCain trails top Republican rivals in money and polls.

Wow, he’s laying off roughly a third of his campaign staff.  He’s down to fourth in the polls behind Thompson (27%), Guiliani(23%), Romney(12%) with a paltry 11%.  Let’s not forget that he was all but annointed the nominee by the mainstream media.

He’s lost 40% of his support since mid-May when he spit on the base and pushed for amnesty.  I don’t think he’s going to recover.

In my opinion his career in Presidential politics is at an end.  I hope that other candidates realize that you can’t insult the base by pushing for amnesty over enforcement, shutting up the political speech and working with the Democrats to keep qualified judges from being confirmed.  This is one guy that should not ever have been given political power.  He’ll probably go on serving in the Senate as the voters there haven’t held him to account for being the only Republican member of the Keating Five.

I also hope the voters remember that both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama voted for the amnesty bill that almost as unpopular with the Democrats as it was with the Republicans.  A politicians position on the issues should matter.

“Couldn’t be fast enough for me.”

Only when he accelerates in hyperbolic speed in his political decline will I be satisfied.

Great American, super bad politics.

I just had someone comment tell me about how Brownback doesn’t have a chance. Things can change fast. There’s no room for arrogance.

I’m surprised how far back Romney is still, though I’m convinced it’s just because people are still getting to know him. He’s still doing good considering he’s the former govenor of messyhuesettes

Why should we have less abortions if it’s not really killing someone?
