McCain: I Was The Biggest Critic Of Iraq Until I Went There And Saw That It Would Fail

A portrait of the candidate off the rails.

Transcript:

It’s entertaining, in that I was the greatest critic of the initial four years, three and a half years. I came back from my first trip to Iraq and said, This is going to fail. We’ve got to change the strategy to the one we’re using now. But life isn’t fair.

Didn’t John McCain spend most of 2004 campaigning with President Bush? Standing behind the war in Iraq?  And praising the President’s policies and leadership?

Was McCain lying then or lying now?
