McCain Expresses Shock At Idea That Pentagon Would Stop Sen. Obama From Visiting Troops In Germany

Because, you see, Senators visit troops stationed abroad all the time and the Pentagon has never been in the habit of stopping them.

The problem, as I explained before,  is that the Pentagon said Obama couldn’t visit the troops in Germany but rather that he wasn’t allowed to bring members of his campaign staff with him.  Just members of his Senate staff.  Because of that, he chose not to go, though he continues to smear the Pentagon with assertions to the contrary.

We can speculate as to why Obama just didn’t leave his campaign staff behind and visit the troops anyway, but I think it’s because he didn’t want to see the troops without his army of campaign handlers there to make sure he didn’t stick his foot in his mouth.
