McCain Campaign Offers Points For Positive Comments On Blogs

If you praise McCain in a blog comment you get points from the campaign.

Help spread the word about John McCain on news and blog sites. Your efforts to help get the message out about John McCain’s policies and plan for the future is one of the most valuable things you can do for this campaign. You know why John McCain should be the next President of the United States and we need you to tell others why.

Select from the numerous web, blog and news sites listed here, go there, and make your opinions supporting John McCain known. Once you’ve commented on a post, video or news story, report the details of your comment by clicking the button below. After your comments are verified, you will be awarded points through the McCain Online Action Center.

Say Anything is in the list of two dozen or so suggested conservative blogs, so I guess if you come sing McCain’s praises in the comments here (or on the reader blog) you can get points from McCain.  Though I’m not sure what those points are redeemable for, if anything.

A lot of people are worried about this, but I think it’s rather innovative.  A lot of movements offer ways for supporters to compete against one another.  That competition generates increased support activity.  I don’t see why it’s any more inappropriate to do this sort of thing for, say, selling magazine subscriptions to support a school than it is to do it for a political campaign.

I think it’d be inappropriate for McCain to make those points redeemable for cash.  As the owner of one of the blogs targeted in this effort I don’t want a bunch of paid McCain spammers filling up the comments section.  But as a way for McCain supporters to compete with one another?

I don’t see why not.

Can we also lose points when we point out McCain’s asinine positions on illegal immigration, campaign finance, and global warming?  If so, I think I’m in the running for largest point deficit.  And yet, I support this officious idiot.  Woohoo!

Maybe he’ll offer Cap and Trade credits or credits toward a larger than “deemed average” carbon footprint under McCain’s Global Warming Initiative that’s all but settled…

Rob,

Forget the points!  Considering your enthusiasm for McCain’s campaign and all those nice things you’ve said about his stand on various issues, you ought to just be grateful he’s adamantly opposed to torture!

OK, I will start out with, McCain’s asinine positions on campaign finance, global warming hoax, not voting for Bush’s tax cuts and illegal immigration AMNESTY. I am sure there are more but these are the ‘good points’ that come to mind.

Oh yeah, I think McCain is good on the war, and may actually understand the enemy wants to kill ‘America’.

Is that good enough?

I think it’s kind of funny that Say Anything made the list of blogs on his website given that we’re....not exactly McCain-friendly around here.

Of course, maybe that’s the point too.

I am afraid that Barack will have access to the points system and the racism police will declare on January 22, 2009, than any people found to have earned McCain points will be sent to an “education kamp”.

+3 McCain’s wife owns a massive beer distributorship.
+7 McCain endured torture for five years at the hands of the Vietnamese
-2 McCain calls Vietnamese “gooks” still
+23 McCain is not married to Bill Clinton and does not attend a church run by Reverend Wright
-21 McCain wants to take away my SUV or make me plant 500 trees to offset every 10,000 miles I drive it
+3 McCain has a kick-ass sneer when he is pissed
+112 McCain will sneer at OBL and Iran instead of meeting to pacify them
+3 Beer distributorship.  Plain and simple.
+20 Diamondbacks and Suns fan
-256 Wants to allow illegal aliens to steal my car, rape and impregnate my daughter
+24 Illegals do yard work for $10 an hour and you can always get one at the Phoenix Home Depot

I think the Immigration issue puts me in the negative, but I am going to offset my points by attacking Hillary later on. ***SNEER***

Take my points. I keep a small McCain banner in my sidebar and today I highlighted his website because the new design is so superior to that awful black thing he had before, but points for comments, nah, not so interested in that. I am glad to see, however, that he has finally gotten someone on his staff who knows how to design a workable/usable site with more interesting content that definitely matches or exceeds Romney’s site and leaves the impression that McCain has moved into the new electronic world of 2008.

Any points for damning with faint praise???

For any voter trying to choose between the two candidates for commander in chief, there is no better test than this: When American strategy in a critical theater was up for grabs, John McCain proposed a highly unpopular and risky path, which he accurately predicted could lead to success. Barack Obama proposed a popular and politically safe route that would have led to an unnecessary and debilitating American defeat at the hands of al Qaeda.

Let’s see, praise for McCain: he’s not Obama (we can still say his last name can’t we, or is it strictly “the Messiah” now)or Hillary...barely.

Okay, I’ll give him credit for some of his market-based strategies, but the pro illegal immigration and cap-and-trade global puking scam just always takes precedent over everything else policy related.

That is actually an effective strategy for McCain.  Encourage Conservatives to hold their noses, vote, then get shitfaced drunk and try to wash the taste of Liberal McCain out of their mouths.

Bad news is that most states do not sell beer on election day.  Better stock up.
