McCain Booed At Michigan Americans For Prosperity Event

McCain may be surging in the polls, but the conservative faithful don’t seem to be sold on him yet.


I have a lot of respect for McCain. He’s served his country honorably in both the military and the Senate. But when it comes to policy, McCain has consistently abandoned the conservative base on key issues from campaign finance reform to illegal immigration to judicial appointments.
And conservatives, clearly, haven’t forgotten.

    Patriotism always the refuge of the scoundrel. McCain, as usual manages to insert a military or war related issue into every question. Is the guy running for Secretary of Defense or President? He was berated about illegal immigration and he brings up the Iraq conflict. I cannot stand this guy, he’s milked his POW status for all its worth. Americans need to be able to see through the typical, standard jingoism. Elect Romney.

    Yes, I am unashamedly tacky and shabby – but here’s the unvarnished truth, I have yet to hear of anything particularly honorable in McCain’s CONDUCT regarding his time in the military service – including his time in a POW camp.

    When some fellow camp members would rather punch him in the face for his conduct IN THAT CAMP, than to have to even look at him, especially without vomiting, I am not one of those who feels that obligatory and automatic “honor” is required as McCain’s “due”.

    I had family in Vietnam, and family in WW2, in WW1, and in the Civil War, as well as Korea, and Iraq.

    McCain is Hanoi John’s butt buddy, and from what I’ve seen, they have similar animus towards too many other Vietnam Vets and POWS.

    It’s the ones who served with unabashed distinction and honor, and patriotism, and respect towards their own “fox hole” companions, that impress me.

    NOT those who use a lifetime in the Senate writing laws and setting bizarre and previously unacceptable standards that help them HIDE THE TRUTH ABOUT THEIR OWN RECORDS from the general public, and try to make liars out of those who won’t close ranks to protect them from their own perfidy.

    Can you imagine the Founding Fathers protecting Benedict Arnold from the public because he had once been their brother-at-arms???

    McCain is a traitor to this nation, regarding his conduct on our Border Security issues and on the issues of ILLEGAL ALIENS and “their Entitlements” to American tax-paid social programs, and for McCain Feingold Thompson.

    He and his enabling butt buddies are pure scum.
