Martha Stewart: Sarah Palin Is “A Dangerous Person”

Just like I’ve been saying. These people are afraid of her.

HLN ‘SHOWBIZ TONIGHT’ PRODUCER JENNY D’ATTOMA: Now, on to Sarah Palin, why do you think she’s so polarizing to so many people?
MARTHA STEWART: She’s a very boring to me. Very boring, and a very, to me, kind of a, a dangerous person. I mean, to, she’s dangerous.
D’ATTOMA: In what way?
STEWART: She speaks, she’s, she’s so confused. And anyone like that in government is a real problem.
D’ATTOMA: Meanwhile, they’re saying her book is already a bestseller. Do you find it…
STEWART: Good for her. Good for her.
D’ATTOMA: Have you been able to catch Sarah Palin’s interviews?
STEWART: Why’s everybody asking that? I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t watch her if you paid me.

“Wouldn’t watch her if you paid me.”
Isn’t that kind of like judging a book by its cover?
Sounds like someone isn’t thinking for herself. Also typical of liberals.

Really? That’s the argument you want to play after your rant on accuracy? OK! What state allowed you to join the bar?

  • sayanything-12

See my comment on blogging stoned.

  • sayanything-3960

Its a little sad, Lion, that you don’t even have enough integrity to see past your partisanship to call something that is wrong wrong.

What is wrong here? Martha Stewart has an opinion and she stated it. I have a fairly low opinion of her so I don’t really care.

However, what is wrong is your creating quotes for your headlines.

  • sayanything-4625

One of your heroes attacking another one of your heroes.

    http://www.newsmeat.com/ceo_political_donations/Martha_Stewart.php

Don’t you mean a Democrat is attacking Palin? There’s a shock.

  • sayanything-342

I’m surprised that MaoBama hasn’t made Martha our Food Czar. She fits all the qualifications: hard left liberal, opinionated, stupid and dishonest.

  • sayanything-12

Lioncourt is a typical liberal. Our loving Big Brother can do no harm.

  • sayanything-287

What do you want from an ex-con, cheater?

  • sayanything-3960

Yet that’s what happened to Stewart. Her broker told her the company was going broke, and she did what any sane individual would…she sold her shares.

And than she like to the investigators. That is what she was convicted of, not insider trading. BTW, Martha was not going to go broke. It was a relatively small amount of money to her. She could have done the right thing.

Not only does Rob not claim to be a journalist, but his reporting is still accurate.Sure he does. He runs articles on the new media all the time. He went on a conference call and was offended when the more established media was treated differently. He has used his radio show to establish his credentials.

  • sayanything-3417

    You funny. :-)

  • sayanything-559

Talk about boring… Meezzzz Martha has no room to talk

  • sayanything-2

They should have to answer questions attached to a polygraph and asked by FBI agents.

  • sayanything-3960

It must be a tough choice for you cons. One of your heroes attacking another one of your heroes.

  • sayanything-3960

I believe it was mostly Republicans who defended her ability to lie to the FBI to protect her earnings.

  • sayanything-3960

BTW, have you figured out that when you use quotes that it means that it is a word for word representation of what they said. Not your analysis of what they said.

For example, if you would have said that Martha Stewart said that Sarah Palin is “a dangerous person,” that would be correct.

Stating that Martha Stewart says “Sarah Palin is a dangerous person” is unehtical.

You claim to be a journalist. Why can’t you adopt the simple ethics on how you attribute a quote?

  • sayanything-12

Yeah, that “creating quotes” is such a big issue. Once we solve punctuation issues with Rob putting the ‘”‘ in the right place…

…maybe we can deal with Hannitized’s apostrophe abuse.

I’m starting to think that Lioncourt only blogs drunk, stoned or both.

  • sayanything-2

Don’t be putting that off on ganja and booze, lyingcourt works hard to be that dishonest.

  • sayanything-4272

Rich capitalist Martha Stewart appears to know about what she speaks…

  • sayanything-2

    Martha who?

  • I don’t like today’s GOP

They should have asked her about Sarah’s hair or something. Martha isn’t much of a political figure. I heard pee wee herman said something about Palin. Could you find some video of that? He’s just about as relevant.

By the way, Martha basically said the same thing as Chris Wallace said in his Imus interview.

  • sayanything-3417

Yeah, but when did truth, logic, facts, and reason ever matter to libs?

  • sayanything-1317

Since “She is a dangerous person” is an accurate quote, and she=Sarah Palin, “Sarah Palin is an accurate quote. Though the most accepted ways to write that are “She [Sarah Palin] is a dangerous person” or “[Sarah Palin] is a dangerous person”, Rob’s headline is neither misleading nor innacurate. It may not be college standard writing, but it is correct.

Not only does Rob not claim to be a journalist, but his reporting is still accurate.

And if you’re a lawyer…you’re the worst one EVER.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

Well, it’s not exactly a misquote. She did say Sarah Palin is a dangerous person.

I should have only put the quotes around “dangerous person” though.

    My mistake.

  • sayanything-1317

She was indicted on securities fraud (insider trading). And she was convicted on conspiracy charges, which covered the insider trading charges.

It wasn’t going to break her. She could’ve done the right thing!

Who cares that it wasn’t going to break her? She should’ve sucked it up and taken the loss just because YOU think it was the right thing to do? Always easy to be generous with other people’s money I suppose. I think we should start a phony lawyer tax and charge you guys an extra 15% above what we charge normal people on the income tax. After all, it’s time you guys started doing the right thing…

Sure he does. He runs articles on the new media and….

Blah blah blah. He is an opinion columnist. Guess what? They have those in the newspapers too. They’re not journalists. They’re opinion columnists. Forget pedantic, you’re downright childish. Youtake yourself sooo seriously. And it’s so undeserved.

  • sayanything-2361

Sparkie, I like her but don’t know much about her. Nice smile, agree with her on some issues and the attacks that I’ve taken the time to look into were hogwash. An example is the 20 or so lawsuits against her that disappeared as soon as she resigned.

A fair amount of what I like about her is the unreasoning and often lying hatred. But I still don’t consider her worth the time of a full out analysis. Let time work its magic and we’ll see what comes of her.

  • sayanything-6955

Martha is and always will be a big lib.

  • sayanything-2361

Mickey, is she a tax cheat?

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

I don’t claim to be a journalist in the traditional sense. But I am media. And Earl Pomeroy had no reason to attack me for asking a fair question on that phone call.

Its a little sad, Lion, that you don’t even have enough integrity to see past your partisanship to call something that is wrong wrong.

I think out elected leaders should have to answer questions. Even the tough ones.

  • sayanything-81

    JackassJimmy
When did you guys start giving a sh*t about those things again?

  • sayanything-81

    FlyOnTheWall
You like Palin too? I thought you were one of the smart ones. That’s sad.

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

There, all better. I fixed it.

Now what was your point again, Lioncourt? Other than being a pedantic twit?

  • sayanything-101

Martha also thinks Rachael Ray can’t cook. http://tinyurl.com/yl6zhpk

  • sayanything-2361

    I think it’s because Sarah’s like a ninja, but with a smile.

“STEWART: Why’s everybody asking that? I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t watch her if you paid me.”
That’s the proper response to Palin if you don’t like her but she just spent a dissertation on her. Well, a Stewart version dissertation. Why not just actually ignore her?

  • sayanything-1317

The rules on insider trading are overly ridiculous. If we are friends, and you have 500 shares of my company, and I mention in casual conversation that “My company is going to go under”…guess what? You now have non-public information. And if you sell your stocks on that, you have committed a crime.

Because I gave you unsolicited advice, you now have to lose a great deal of profit, or even go into the red, because you now have info you didn’t request. Asking you to give up profits, or even lose money on that is beyond unfair.

Yet that’s what happened to Stewart. Her broker told her the company was going broke, and she did what any sane individual would…she sold her shares.

The laws guarding insider trading are not rational, not intelligent and not fair. And if we applied them to any other crime, the people would cry out in fury and shoot any official who tried to enforce them. “Well, you heard someone wanted you dead…so you bought a gun for self defense. That’s insider murder.” “You live in a dangerous part of town and there have been a lot of robberies. So you bought a pit bull and he mauled the robber pretty bad when he broke in. Insider defense.” So on and so on.
