Many In The Black Community Are Fearful That Wright May Torpedo Obama

In Wright’s own words, some chickens may be coming home to roost, but in this case the chickens belong to the race baiters, most notably Wright himself:

African American ministers in Los Angeles expressed angst and concern Tuesday that a fresh round of comments by Sen. Barack Obama’s former pastor was hurting the Democratic presidential candidate’s campaign and skewing public understanding of the black church.

**

But the biggest concern Tuesday among local black religious leaders—and across a wide swath of black Los Angeles—was not about Wright’s words per se but about their impact on Obama’s historic campaign.

In barber shops and beauty salons, at church gatherings and on Internet blogs, African Americans said that Wright’s remarks might be badly damaging the senator from Illinois.

And they were flummoxed as to why Wright continued to speak out, particularly before two crucial primaries in Indiana and North Carolina.

“I am hurt and disgusted that one of the most historic political campaigns in the nation’s history could be derailed by this pastor who has been needlessly callous, careless and insensitive in his remarks,” said the Rev. John J. Hunter of First AME.

Some common sense from sensible people, who can see the big picture.

To the Wrights and the Sharptons of the world the picture is simple: If Obama gets elected a lot of the air will be let out of their over inflated portrait of racial hatred and racial victimhood in America. And then what would they do, poor things?

Thanks to Hot Air for this one.

Barry is torpedoing himself.  From his associations with known “revolutionaries,” his continued employment of Black Muslims in his campaigns’ headquarters after disingenuously disavowing Farrakhan’s endorsement, his comments to the SF leftie elite about clinging “crackers”, and his known socialist and racist ideology from his books and other sources, he reveals his own character, with or without Rev. Wright.

The only thing Wright has to do to help Obama is to shut up.  So why won’t he?

Yes! The chicken is remarkably lifelike! And the thing on his head, too!

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.
