PlainsDaily.com picks up an item from that Rasmussen poll from earlier this week which had Berg leading Pomeroy for the fifth month in a row.

The latest Rasmussen Poll shows that North Dakotans view The Tea Party Movement positively.

19% of the 500 likely voters polled identified themselves as Tea Party members.

However 51% of those surveyed see The Tea Party as good for the country. Of those polled only 22% view The Tea Party as bad for the nation.

Bad news for North Dakota Democrats, especially with their newly-elected national committeeman calling tea partiers crackpots.

Though, really, this isn’t exactly good news for North Dakota Republicans either. They’re sitting pretty right now, with Pomeroy on the ropes and Governor John Hoeven leading Democrat Tracy Potter by 50+ points in the race to replace Senator Byron Dorgan. But if they expect to keep up their big-spending, big-government ways in the future there’s going to be some serious dissension in the ranks.
