Listen Live: Rob’s Guest Hosting The Scott Hennen Show Right Now

From 8:00am - 11:00am central time I’ll be guest hosting the Scott Hennen Show again while Scott enjoys a long weekend with his family.

As always, if you want to listen live online you can do so here or tune in on AM1100 on your radio dials.  You can also tune in at KLTC AM1460 in Dickinson, KTGO AM1090 in Tioga and Supertalk 1270 in Bismarck/Mandan.  And, since its Friday, we have open phones!  Call in with your topics and questions at 888-598-8464.

We’ll have on Mike Rud of the North Dakota Retailers Association to talk about how “Black Friday” sales are going, and what impact the economy may have on them.

Then we’ll have on MADD National President Laura Dean-Mooney to talk about drunk driving rates in North Dakota.

After that Steve Shenk from efoodsdirect.com will be on to discuss what he thinks is an impending global food crisis.

Finally we’ll have on Mansoor Ijaz, columnist businessman and terrorism expert, to talk about the terror attacks in India.

Does this tick you off? Click here to email your elected representatives right here on Say Anything, or comment below.

Thanks for putting together a great show, Rob.
Your last guest, Mansoor Ijaz, emphasized that the gang in Bombay was well-prepared, using hotel blueprints as a detailed planning tool.

Subsequently he made the argument for establishing ultra-sensitive security screens at major malls, to detect and deter terrorists from carrying out Bombay-style attacks here in the US.

While I appreciate his intentions, the remedy plays right into the tactics of the terrorists. A big central solution to a distributed problem. All they have to do is tap into the data stream from such a security system and plan their attack accordingly. Storm the most gun-free malls at the busiest time.

Decentralizing our homeland defense was already foreseen in the 2nd amendment.
Certainly an armed citizenry is not the entire solution, but it is an important part.

The asymmetric tactics used by terrorists thrive on people surrendering their autonomy and security to a central bureaucracy.

Hey Greg, were you the one who called in about this during the show?

I agree with your points.

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

Yes it was me - listening to the show live from Seattle.
Now where can we find a “Welcome Back Carter” bumper sticker?

Well thanks for listening in, and thanks for calling.

You should tune in on Sundays too.  I do a one hour show, and we have a chatroom here on the blog.

As for the Welcome Back Carter, I don’t know if there’s a bumpersticker available but you can get the t-shirt here.
