Lindsey Graham Is Against The Stimulus Before He’s For It

Lindsey Graham doesn’t like the stimulus. But if his home state of South Carolina gets a slice of that delicious, delicious pork?
Well, you don’t expect him to say no do you?

BLITZER: South Carolina will get money out of this bill.
GRAHAM: Yes.
BLITZER: Should South Carolina take the money?
GRAHAM: I think that, yes, from my point of view, I — you don’t want to be crazy here.

This sort of bald-faced duplicity is exactly why Republicans aren’t trusted by the American people and are in the minority right now.
If you say you’re for limited government you must, in fact, be for limited government. You can’t just pay it lip service, and then roll over and give thanks for all the dog parks and frisbee golf courses that get stuffed into bills like this.

There is a solid case to be made that Graham is the worst GOP senator.

Does Graham actually have any power to refuse SC money? Wouldn’t that be up to the SC governor and legislature? Seems like an odd issue to take up with him…

I mean, in principle, I’m against much of the deductions and credits allowed on the personal income tax code, but I still take them every year. I’m not going to refuse to take the child-tax-credit, but I can still be against it in principle and vote against these type of these every time they come up… What’s the difference with Graham?

I’ve already been bankrupted by high taxation. The altmin tax just threw me into chapter 11. I’m in a highly regulated industry.

Without knowing what you do, or how you do business. Isn’t it entirely possible you went bankrupt because you just didn’t do enough business?

If you had enough business, would the taxation have mattered? Just a question.

NONE OF THEM ARE FOR THIS. and they will keep losing because people like me will give no money, time or votes to any of them. and before little people like me (actual conservatives) are discounted, we must all remember that elections are lost by 2%….

    Too fricking funny.

Nothing is different between you and Graham. You are both equally as hypocritical.

I don’t take the deductions and I don’t manipulate my taxes, and yet, here I am not complaining. Go figure.

The money is taken from everyone and everyone is crying for the largest chunk of the pie they can get. Not doing that means a real loss for their state, not just a zero return.

In my fantasies I still want to see some actual principal.

I just can’t take the hypocricy any more. I say we should go back to the TRUE conservatives. Trow ‘da bum out!

No attacks on the Republican? Shocking.
