Liberal Talk Show Host Randi Rhodes Is Mugged, Liberals Immediately Blame Conservatives

It was Bush and Cheney. Had to be them. What other explanation can there be?
Air America’s Randi Rhodes was assaulted in a mugging in New York last night while she was walking her dog. According to the report on Talking Radio she was pretty badly beaten, to the point of losing teeth in the attack.
When I read the article above I felt pretty bad for her and still do, but this little comment by the writer got my attention:

Apparently, some right-wing critics of lib talk aren’t happy that conservative talk only accounts for 90% of the programming on talk radio. These whack jobs appear determined to whatever it takes to silence the opposing point of view.

Come on. A woman walking down a street in the middle of the night – in New York -gets mugged and suddenly it’s part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy? This goes to show just how far the left will go to throw mud any chance they get.
Air America late night host Jon Elliot was singing the same pitiful song:

Pointing out that Rhodes was wearing a jogging suit and displayed no purse or jewelry, Elliott speculated that “this does not appear to me to be a standard grab the money and run mugging.”
“Is this an attempt by the right wing hate machine to silence one of our own,” he asked. “Are we threatening them. Are they afraid that we’re winning. Are they trying to silence intimidate us.”

Damn that George Bush!
Reality check to idiot Elliot: No, we’re not afraid that you’re winning. Air America has a very little, teeny-weeny, tinky-tiny, itty-bitty listening audience because, well, your product sucks. In fact, all of liberal talk radio together accounts for only about 10% of the listening audience. So, I doubt seriously that Randi Rhodes was beaten up because someone wanted to “silence her.” Nobody’s listening anyway.
Whoever did this needs to be locked up. No person in this country, liberal or conservative, black or white, rich man poor man beggar man thief, should be beaten when they are walking down a public street. Not even an Air America host. Being an imbecile doesn’t mean you deserve a beating like this. I’m a conservative and I send my personal best wishes for her recovery and my personal condemnation to whatever animal did it. For whatever that’s worth.
But – the left REALLY needs to find out where Bush and Cheney were last night. They blame everything else on Bush, from global warming to diaper rash, so why not? Oh, and here’s a clue for the left….check out Karl Rove while you’re at it. He’s a thug for sure, that one. You KNOW he’s lurking around your neighborhood right this very minute waiting to boil your bunny when you leave the house.

UPDATE: SHE FELL DOWN – THERE WAS NO MUGGING!!!!!!!
Much to the consternation of the left, who have been screaming like pinched schoolgirls that Randi Rhodes was mugged by crazed conservatives – it turns out she wasn’t mugged at all. She. Fell. Down. Oopsie.
From the New York Daily News:

A police source said Rhodes never filed a report and never claimed to be the victim of a mugging. Cops from Manhattan’s 17th Precinct called her attorney, who told them Rhodes was not a victim of a crime, the source said.
Rhodes’ lawyer told the Daily News she was injured in a fall while walking her dog. He said she’s not sure what happened, and only knows that she fell down and is in a lot of pain. The lawyer said Rhodes expects to be back on the air Thursday. He stressed there is no indication she was targeted or that she was the victim of a “hate crime.”

Those tears you see running down the pasty cheeks of the left are not tears of joy that she wasn’t mugged. They’re tears of sorrow that the right isn’t responsible for her injuries and they can’t shift the blame to them no matter how hard they try. So sad. Oh, well…better luck with their irresponsible and unfounded accusations next time.
I’m sure they’ll sniff out someone to blame for something.
