Liberal Left To Launch Attack On General Petraeus

The uber-liberal left-wing group MoveOn.org is apparently readying itself to launch a media assault on the credibility and character of General David Petraeus, according to commenter halatbis:

The Stephanopolis Sunday AM show said the Moveon.org people are going to run an ad in the NY Times on Monday to discredit General Petraeus—they will do a play on his name to General Be-tray-us.  Cute, huh?

Well, if smarmy plays on Petraeus’ last name are the best MoveOn.org has to offer, I don’t think they’re going to convince many Americans.  Still, the move by many on the left in recent weeks (up to and including mainstream Democrat politicians) to discredit Petraeus before he is allowed to give a statement to Congress and the American people about Iraq is telling.

It tells just how worried the left is about the amount of success Petraeus has had in Iraq, and it also is more evidence for something most of us were wise to long ago: That Democrats are more interested in winning the political war over the war here at home than actually being successful in Iraq.

Straight from the playbook of the Marxist radical Saul Alinksy. Instead of addressing the argument or position, mercilessly attack the character of the person.

Hillary Clinton would be proud.

This is amazing.  What kinda citizens and political officials attack their own country’s military general because he is successful in wartime?

I’ll tell you… traitors.

I can’t believe they get away with it.

The Bible provides the best two words to describe the MoveOn.org type attack on Gen. Petraeus by the democrats - nauseating putrefication.
