Left Running Pictures Of Corker’s Daughter Kissing Another Girl?

Why?

image

Because lesbians are bad.  At least daughters of conservatives who might be lesbians are bad.  Because sexual orientation matters...if you’re a Republican.

Or something like that.

Honestly, the hypocrisy on display here from the left is astounding.

Comments

The newspaper writer who penned the article is giddily happy over the fact that she can poke Corker in the eye over his apparent hypocrisy.  I thought that reporters were supposed to be neutral in viewpoint.  I also love how she gushes over the fact that Ford is sucha good man that he would never use something like this to attack his opponent.  Why should he when he’s got the Memphis Commercial-Appeal to do it for him?

Right.  You know they got fed this by the Ford campaign.

I just don’t see what the big deal is.  So Corker’s daughter is a little wild in college...I guess that makes him all wrong on his domestic policies or something.

The war against illegal plunder has been fought since the beginning of the world. But how is… legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish this law without delay … If such a law is not abolished immediately it will spread, multiply and develop into a system.

I’m sure it doesn’t mean anything, but of course it gets politicized during election season.

gregdn on October 30, 2006 at 12:13 pm

But...she’s kissing a WHITE woman! That’s code for racism!

Those who think the party or the country, will be “taught a lesson” by handing the levers of power over to the liberals will learn a lesson, but it will be at the expense of our country and her liberties. And there are no guarantees that the party or the country will come out stronger, more conservative or better positioned to win elections against the incumbent liberals.

I’d party with her.  Or that is I would have partied with her before I got married.  What I really mean is that I would have partied with her before I got married if she would have been willing to party with me, which wouldn’t have happened.

I also would have gone to the Playboy mansion just to read the articles.

No, that is not the thing here.  If Corker is going to insinuate things about Ford’s family and use that as a way of questioning Ford, then I say that turnabout is fair play.  Corker has said that politics is the Ford Family Business.  He has questioned if Ford’s father, a lobbyist, has ever gotten his son to help him.  That’s without one shred of evidence that Harold has ever helped his father.  He has used Ford’s brother as a point of how the Family operates.  Ford’s brother has been arrested on occasion and according to some reports has used drugs.  Let me ask you this question.  Does any of this have to do with policies and how to represent Tennessee?  No it does not.  If you are going to get all blustery on a photographic release of Corker’s daughter, I would like to see the same when Corker does the exact same thing to Ford’s family.  Oh wait, I forgot.  Conservatives don’t like to debate or question anything that comes from their side of politics.  They like to threaten physical violence on people with diseases that don’t agree with them.  This is a non-story.

Seems to me that questions about whether or not Ford is qualified to have his position or merely got there because of family name recognition are relevant.

I don’t understand how Corker’s daughter kissing another girl is relevant, though.

From my leftist perspective, it’s all about consistency and Repulican hypocrisy.

Oh, and the picture doesn’t mean she’s a lesbian. It means that she kissed someone, nothing else.

I thought that reporters were supposed to be neutral in viewpoint.

Only when your ox is being gored.

CNN mentioned the Reid scandal 3,361 times to the Hastart scandal 33 times, but I don’t see you right wingers out there complaining....

Ya, violence is always the intelligent answer.

I think it’s pretty funny that you’re defending her right her sexual orientation… but screw her if she loves the girl in question and wants to legally commitment to her. Lesbian sex good, Lesbian marriage bad. Sadly, pretty damn typical.

Please to explain why it is a problem for Republicans to be gay or lesbian? And exactly when and where did Corker attack gays and lesbians? And where can we find pictures of the rest of Ms Corker, strictly for research purposes. Of course.

OH man, that’s harsh.  Can you believe it that the guy would use the fact that Harold Ford’s family has held a lot of offices in Tennessee against him.

Man that explains why it’s ok to make political hay at what his daughter does in college.  After all talking about someone’s political career is out of bounds.

I’m not sure why it’s such a problem. You could ask either candidate why they don’t support equal protection under the law.

And exactly when and where did Corker attack gays and lesbians?

Anyone that supports the the anti-marriage amendment, is attacking gays and lesbians 14th amendment rights.

Gays and lesbians can marry, find a member of the opposite sex, get married, and move on with your life. Hell, it ain’t the government’s bidness how you live your life. Stop involving it in your life, don’t ask it for things, don’t tell it things, and minimize your contact with it.

I have a hard time believing CNN would cover anything that would not be friendly or favorable to a democrat. Sad thing is nothing is going to happen to Reid, although he should be out of the senate leadership.

Insinuate?  Do you know anything at all about the Ford family?  Daddy Ford decided to not run for re-election after saying, “I’ve driven around East Memphis and I made a note of you white devils who have my opponents sign in your yard.  You better not call me for any help.” Daddy Ford’s brother avoided child support for two women with whom he had children out of wedlock by giving them jobs in his Circuit Court office for which they were unqualified.  The “family business” is a funeral home/cemetery where they were investigated for selling the same funeral plot multiple times and burying more than one body in the same hole.

You can say that this campaign has turned nasty, but don’t dare try to make the Fords out to be paragons of virtue by using the word “insinuate.”

bak72 spits out, Conservatives don’t like to debate or question anything that comes from their side of politics.  They like to threaten physical violence on people with diseases that don’t agree with them.

You’re totally projecting here. Do you not read this site’s articles? You’re describing your camp.

mzmartipants said, CNN mentioned the Reid scandal 3,361 times to the Hastart scandal 33 times, but I don’t see you right wingers out there complaining....

That’s not true. You better get your facts straight if you want us to take you seriously.

I’m not sure why it’s such a problem. You could ask either candidate why they don’t support equal protection under the law.

There is equal protection under the law now. Only someone who is ignorant or lying would say otherwise.

Anyone that supports the the anti-marriage amendment, is attacking gays and lesbians 14th amendment rights.

Wrong again. There is equal protection under the law now. I know you don’t want to face up to that fact because if you do, your whole argument disintegrates.

likwidshoe on October 31, 2006 at 04:48 am

Ah yes, the 14th Amendment protects the rights of gays and lesbians to marry!

Because, you know, in 1868 when the 14th amendment was adopted, that is exactly what they had in mind.

First of all, it’s interesting to learn that “the Left” and “Wendi C. Thomas, op/ed columnist for some Memphis newspaper” are the same thing.

Second:

I thought that reporters were supposed to be neutral in viewpoint.

Perhaps. However, Wendi “The Left” Thomas is a columnist, not a reporter.
