Clinton lied under oath. How were perjury proceedings a “partisan stunt”? The man was President of the United States. If he could not be held to a standard of not lying while under oath, how should any other citizen in the country be expected to?

The whole “Gotcha” approach to politics, which has been going on pretty much unchecked for the last 30 years, has done nothing but sharply divide the American people into partisan camps and deeply erode respect for the office of President.

I am well aware of many reasons to question Clinton’s Presidency. The fact that he lied under oath with many expecting him to get a “free pass” for it was disgusting.
