Kerry’s Sister Warns Australians
The left are bemoaning the Republicans for suggesting that a Kerry presidency would make this country less safe. Yet the Kerry campaign seems to be doing the exact same thing, only in Australia.
The Australian – JOHN Kerry’s campaign has warned Australians that the Howard Government’s support for the US in Iraq has made them a bigger target for international terrorists.
Diana Kerry, younger sister of the Democrat presidential candidate, told The Weekend Australian that the Bali bombing and the recent attack on the Australian embassy in Jakarta clearly showed the danger to Australians had increased.
“Australia has kept faith with the US and we are endangering the Australians now by this wanton disregard for international law and multilateral channels,” she said, referring to the invasion of Iraq.
Asked if she believed the terrorist threat to Australians was now greater because of the support for Republican George W. Bush, Ms Kerry said: “The most recent attack was on the Australian embassy in Jakarta — I would have to say that.”
Does anybody else find it just a wee bit distasteful that the Kerry/Edwards campaign is taking it upon themselves to scare other countries away from cooperating with our sitting President? I don’t mean to be alarmist or anything, but isn’t that getting pretty close to treason?
Like Bush or not, he is the leader of a nation at war. Australia is one of our staunches allies in that war. Since nobody in that country can vote in the upcoming election, what exactly is the Kerry campaign trying to do in Australia? Cause America to lose allies so that Bush’s foreing policies will fail?
That’s sure what it looks like to me. And if that’s true what else can you call it but treason?
