Karl Rove Likes Obama’s Economic Team

And I tend to agree with him.  It’s certainly a relief to see Obama picking moderate, mainstream people to help him run the economy.  I don’t think it’s going to necessarily result in good policy, and I think Obama will maybe be using some of these people to mask an agenda that’s further to the left than he wants us to realize, but it is a hopeful sign.

What I’m really wondering is how the left is going to react to Obama bringing so many moderates into his administration (he’s keeping Sec. Gates too, remember) and Karl Rove praising him for it.

He’s their messiah, sure, but there’s got to be only so much they can take.

It’s tough to come up with things to criticize Obama about right now when everything he has done since winning the election is moving center-right. He appears to be more conservative then McCain at this point.

Not too hard to do.

The only reason that McCain was even close was Sarah.

I think it’s a cover.  He’s going to govern a lot further to the left.

The purpose of government shouldn’t be to do good, but simply to refrain from doing evil.

The Daily Kooks and the Huffpost don’t like them very much…

I’m center-left and very happy with Obama’s choices to the center.  I think he is going to surprise a lot of conservatives.

Rob,

Some on the left had to grit their teeth over Rove’s article. While being completely honest, he very effectively tied Geithner to Bernanke and Paulson. He also tied Summers to Phil Gramm, and Gramm, Leach, Bliley. Reread the article, I understand some weren’t happy about the things he exposed, they couldn’t complain, however, because the things stated were true.
