OSAWATOMIE — Today is a day all Americans can and should celebrate their freedom. However, some Americans feel more free than others.
That’s the message from Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts, who stepped in front of the camera Saturday to deliver the weekly GOP on anxiety about the upcoming implementation of Obamacare. Roberts’ words came a day after the one year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision to uphold the health care law.
From plan cost and coverage to employer-provided health plans, Roberts said the president’s health care reform law is riddled with unanswered questions that no one, not even President Barack Obama, is able to answer.
“As one of the Democrat authors of the bill said, ‘American families are facing a train wreck,’” Roberts said.
“We need to make the right kind of change to the health care system. Change that doesn’t include higher taxes, higher premiums and decision making by government bureaucrats rather than our own doctors,” the Kansas senator added.
“Those bumps and glitches the president talks about, it’s a train wreck folks, and we have to get America out of the way”
