Journalists Are The Democrats Most Consistent Constituency
Every year politicians go to war over certain voting demographics. Men. Women. NASCAR Dads. Security Moms. You get the picture.
But one demographic Democrats never have to worry about winning over are journalists:
Going into Tuesday’s election, polls show Democrat Barack Obama with a modest lead over Republican John McCain, but one group whose support of Obama should not be in doubt is the national media. Surveys of journalists conducted over the past three decades show the media elite are extremely consistent in choosing Democratic candidates on Election Day.
Don’t we always hear from the left that diversity is important? Well in an industry as shaped by opinions and ideas as journalism is, shouldn’t the media be ashamed of this?
You’d think, but if there’s one word that can sum up the media’s behavior over at least the last decade it’s “shameless.”
