Their skill in presenting their case almost entirely replaces their interest in the facts.

It turns out that Rush Limbaugh coined the term. He first called Chuck Hagel Senator Betrayus for voting with the Dems on the so called war.

Here’s the difference: The lefties called him “General Betrayus” for reporting the good news from Iraq. Their entire wagon is hitched to failure in Iraq, and they have to lie and spin to avoid the truth at any cost.
Chuck Hagel betrayed the Republicans by voting for defeat at the hands of the terrorists. In doing so, he betrayed America.

Well, this certainly is good for the Time’s bottom line. If they had of known they were going to get this much visibility, they would have given the ad to Moveon for free. They are now in more homes than ever just so people can see what comes up next to get indignant about and rant and rave, if not for anything else. The Times has become more indignant about their First Amendment rights. “Don’t question our ad prices or anything we print, for that matter”, can be seen in a number of posts from them. They can now charge more for their ad spots because of a higher circulation. The Times loves this.

Move on loves the attention too. Their website traffic has shot up and they are now ranked 3,910 in the U.S. by Alexa. If you don’t know about Alexa ratings, when you make the top 100,000, you have arrived. Commercial sites pay millions to get there. Their membership is increasing faster and donations are up substantially. The article and ad are still featured on their website. It looks like the ad paid off. Moveon loves this.

Kids around my town are now saying General Betrayus loudly in public and smirking and giggling because they know that it will upset a few adults. General Betrayass is starting to catch on. Kids love this.

I’m wondering how much time Senators, Congressmen, and their staffs are spending on deciding what their “official position” is on this. I’m wondering, also, how many more ad spots other media outlets have sold because of this. The media loves this.
