John McCain Forgets Where Vladimir Putin Is From

Not exactly a great mistake to make if you’re trying to cover up your less-than-principled conservative history by saying you’re good on foreign policy.

For somebody who supports Bush, how can you attack somebody for making a clear speaking mistake.  Do you really believe that he doesn’t know where Putin is from or do you think he mispoke?

Lestat on January 23, 2008 at 01:56 pm

So what you’re saying is that we should ignore McCain’s negatives because the press will do the same in the general election?

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Considering that McCain is one of the few Western politicians who has been willing to call a spade a spade with regards to Vlad, this mistake doesn’t particularly phase me.

Lestat: The real question is: Why isn’t the leftie MSM all over this, like they are every time the President says something like that?  Double standard?  We know you lefties like McCain.

Leftie political philosophy, from a DU commenter:

It doesn’t matter if it’s true or not. RUMOR IS TRUTH. The modern laws of media hype and political warfare have a useful tenet: Repeat ANYTHING or raise false concern over ANYTHING and it is likely to be planted in the conscious/subconscious of many voters.

We know you lefties like McCain.

Wrong. Just another rightie smear and lie.

He is your boy, always was always will be.

I’d would have liked to see GW do a Danny Bonaduce to him.

Fact is McCain ain’t no kind of conservative, never was, never will be. He has been in bed with Democrat Party socialists since his first day in Congress. Period.

AIN’T IT THE TRUTH!

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

Well you nutters don’t have too many choices left, unless Philandering Newtie jumps in.
Whatcha got, a old guy you call a socialist, a young guy you call a socialist, an ex preacher you call a socialist, the mayor of 9/11 you call a socialist, a crazy man you call a crazy man.

The actor guy you thought was a conservative couldn’t do it, the fence nut couldn’t do it, the other fence nut couldn’t do it, and the other creationist couldn’t do it.

Looks like the hard nuts are gonna have to vote with their butts and sit this one out.

Wither thou goest O once proud gop?

Good summation reality.

So you two are merrily voting the socialist ticket. Hope that keeps you warm and your bellies full when the local committee cuts your rations. We will have no such problem, being as we will be fighting you socialists. And yes, I am well stocked with necessary provender for extended operations. Are you?

If you vote for anyone left on the gop ticket wouldn’t you be voting for a socialist, comrade?

Save for that Paul guy of course.

Ya know that Paul guy might just start pulling some nutter votes now that the only gops left are identified as socialist by the hard nuts.

As stated, the choice is vote for a Democrat socialist or a Republican socialist. Sorry. I don’t vote for socialists, I kill them. That is what Uncle Sugar trained and paid me to do. That is the oath. Defend the United States of America from all enemies, foreign and domestic. And we will.

Well RBB, are you proud that your candidates - Hillary, Obama, and Edwards - know less about foreign affairs put together than McCain has forgotten in his lifetime?

Or wait, how about that the three of them have less experience in public life put together than McCain does?

You seem so very smug about your very mediocre Democratic field of candidates. Weakest ever in my lifetime, that is for sure.

I’m fine with it.  Judgement is more important that experience.

Even less reason to vote for any of the Democrats.

To say nothing of the fact that none of the three Democrats knows shit about economic issues either… foreign or domestic.

Ever the elucidate wordsmith you are.

Elucidate wordsmith?  Maybe you should study on how to be an elucidative wordsmith.

Lestat on January 23, 2008 at 10:47 pm

Lestat - that’s probably a better idea than reading the “nutters” and “retards” insults. Maybe I would have learned that elucidate shouldn’t ever be used as an adjective.

Good catch.

Keep your powder dry, rambo.
He’s coming to a town near you soon,
