John Edwards: Americans Should Sacrifice Their SUV’s

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards told a labor group Tuesday that he would ask Americans to make a big sacrifice: their sport utility vehicles.
“I think Americans are actually willing to sacrifice,” Edwards said during a forum held by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. “One of the things they should be asked to do is drive more fuel efficient vehicles.”
The former North Carolina senator was asked specifically if he would tell them to give up their SUVS, he said, “Yes.”

Meanwhile, back at Edwards Manor:

There seems to be a couple of, I don’t know, SUV’s parked in the driveway.
I guess there really is two Americas. One that pays to air condition 3 kajillion square foot mansions, and another that has to give up their GMC Yukons for the greater good.

This statement from The Homosexual Candidate is a blatant lie. It jets about the country, and is transported from point to point on the ground in a 5 to 12 vehicle motorcade. Secret Service security detail is apparently provided gratis, since his cheap assed wife ain’t going to pay for security.

I found an article that suggests that Edwards has an Escape hybrid and a Pacifica, both defined as….you got it, SUVs. Certainly not a Suburban, but in one little area he does happen to practice what he preaches.
