Joe Biden Caught On Camera: It’s nice To Have A Job Where You Don’t Have To Do Anything

Joe Biden caught in an inconvenient truth by an open mic at yesterday’s health care summit:

Just moments before the afternoon session got underway, C-SPAN’s cameras picked up audio of Biden chatting casually with participants.
“It’s easy being vice president — you don’t have to do anything.”
Whomever Biden was chatting with said, “It’s like being the grandpa and not the parent.”
“Yeah, that’s it!” replied Biden.

Response from Biden’s people is that the VP was “just joking.”

    Actually, Biden has the one job for which he is qualified. And if you look at his record of … ahem… accomplishment in the Senate over all those years, its clear that a job which only requires that he show up in the same suit and tie as his master and stand two steps behind hi to this right, is probably all Biden could reasonably be expected to handle anyway.
