Joaquin Phoenix Shows Solidarity With Striking Writers, Manages To Spell His Own Name Wrong

“Joaqin” Phoenix went to bat for the striking entertainment industry writers on the People’s Choice Awards by giving his award acceptance speech Bob Dylan style instead of speaking it.

Odd that he’d show solidarity with writers by writing his acceptance speech instead of speaking it given that the people on strike are writers, not speakers. Except that they usually write what people like him speak, so I guess it does sort of make sense.

Regardless, it probably would have carried a lot more weight had he managed to spell his own name right.

Personally, I blame the teacher’s unions.

He needs a writer so that he can spell his own name correctly? Hmmm…maybe the writers have a point.

I think he did too many drugs and drank too much preparing for and filming “I Walk the Line.”

Let alone the publicity tour.

Just like Dylan’s video for “Subterranean Homesick Blues” would have been a lot better if he’d managed to spell “success,” “manhole” and “parking meters” correctly.

When I first read your post I thought, “Isn’t Rob a Bob Bylan fan? How has he never seen the SHB video?” But then you linked to it. So now I’m really confused as to how you think Phoenix “accidentally” misspelled his name. The “what’s wrong with you people?” wasn’t enough to make the connection? lol
