Jimmy Carter To The London Times: Israel Has 150 Nukes

There he goes again..
I don’t know if the man just totally irresponsible, completely anti-Israel, a blathering old fool, or all of the above:

One month after his visit to the region spurred criticism from Israeli officials for his willingness to meet with Syria-based Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal, former US President Jimmy Carter is again making waves, this time in telling the London Times that Israel possesses 150 nuclear weapons.
In a report published on Monday, Carter was quoted as saying that the international community should conduct direct dialogue with Iran in order to persuade the country to drop its nuclear ambitions. The former president cited an Israeli nuclear arsenal as proof that it would be almost impossible for Teheran to develop such weapons in secret.

I shouldn’t even question his anti-Israeli stance. That’s right up there for anyone to see:

Meanwhile, in an interview with the British daily The Guardian, Carter called on members of the European Union to break the embargo of the Gaza Strip, which he called “one of the greatest human rights crimes on Earth.”
“Most families in Gaza are eating only one meal per day. To see Europeans going along with this is embarrassing,” he said.
Carter called the ban on talking to Hamas “unrealistic” and cited Israeli cease-fire negotiations with Hamas – via Egyptian mediator Omar Suleiman – as reason enough for the Europeans to reexamine their stance.

Someone should clue this babbling dimwit that Hamas doesn’t want to talk to Israel. They want Israel destroyed, gone, and every Israeli dead. Instead of criticizing Israel he should be singing their praises because they are the only nation on earth that keeps sending food, medicine, fuel, and electricity to a entity that shoots rockets into their civilian population every single day.
This man is a dangerous fool.

OK, so, we all know that. But, what do you consider his bad points?

    His ignorance and naivety…

There are two possibilities: One, Carter gave an accurate assessment of Israel’s nuclear capabilities, and therefore has given strategic intelligence to her enemies. Two, Carter has given false information which is likely to inflame the emotions of Israel’s enemies (rather like shouting “fire” in a crowded theater) and possibly provoke violent confrontation.

Is there anything other than “room temperature” that will convince this bumbler that he had his chance to favorably influence world events, establishing a positive legacy, and he blew it?

Carter also misses that Gaza is blocaded by the EGYPTIANS as well, with a big ol’ honkin’ fence and men with guns because they don’t want the pollution of Palestinian radicalism.

How about it, Jimmy? Where’s the rage over that.

    Effing fool.

“Most families in Gaza are eating only one meal per day. To see Europeans going along with this is embarrassing,” he said.

Yet Hamas sending mortar rounds, Katyusha and Qassam rockets into Israel every day apparently isn’t embarassing to Jimmy Carter.

Says all you need to know about Carter’s morality.

Short & Sweet: The absolute WORST president in U.S. history, and still going, and going, and going…

Yes, this is the same traitorous mental midget who gave away to public knowledge one of the greatest Force Multipliers of this century: Stealth technology.

If it weren’t for him, the USAF would still be denouncing folks who saw the likes of the F-117 and B-2 as deluded or confused by weather balloons or the planet Venus.

Our enemies would just be wondering just what the hell just hit them.

But it was just his sort of bumbling that caused all America to recognize the Dims for what they are and hand Reagan the White House in a bipartisan landslide.

The more-dovish Carter took office holding strong views about national defense generally and manned penetrating bombers in particular. The new President believed the Soviet Union would react favorably if Washington unilaterally constrained its strategic nuclear programs.

    ….

A handful of officials were aware of another factor in the bomber equation, one that would not be publicly known for several years to come. Carter, after his election, had been told of the Air Force’s supersecret Advanced Technology Bomber project, which in time would lead to the operational B-2 stealth aircraft that would be “invisible” to radar. ….

Carter’s military reputation hit bottom as a result of the April 24, 1980 Desert One fiasco–the failed US military attempt to rescue US hostages held in Iran. The ill-conceived and micromanaged mission ended in disaster in the Iranian desert, where eight US troops died in a fiery refueling mishap. ….

In 1980, they were alarmed by negative international developments. These included the fall of the Shah of Iran, the hostage crisis, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the establishment of a Marxist regime in Nicaragua, a buildup of large, superaccurate Soviet ICBMs, and other signs of a deteriorating US position.

    ….

    The Stealth Furor

It was at this delicate moment–in late summer of 1980–that word about the previously deep-black stealth aircraft project was leaked to the press. …

The revelations created a political uproar. … The initial leaks …. seem to have originated in the White House, not the Pentagon.
    ….

Reagan’s response was harsh. At a Sept. 4 political rally in Florida, Reagan blasted Carter, claiming that Washington leaks and comments had dealt a “grievous blow” to US security by giving Moscow “a 10-year head start” on finding a way to counter stealth. Worse, he claimed that Brown personally had “breached one of this nation’s most closely held military secrets in a transparent effort to divert attention from the Administration’s dismal defense record.”

What, a Southern Baptist is anti-Semitic? I’m sure that the price of his silence on the number of nukes was an official declaration from the Knesset that the Jews killed Christ. Despite his outward persona the Peanut Farmer remains an unreconstructed Old South racist/Protestantist.
