Janeane Garofalo: Tea Parties Were All About “White Power’

And so the liberal left’s attempt to whistle past this graveyard by denigrating those who dare question the government’s power tax and spend us into bankruptcy continues.
Come for the unbelievable exaggeration and hyperbole, stay for Garofalo trying to poo-poo Fox’s ratings (which, by the way, were roughly 5 times larger than Olbermann’s on tax day).

I ask again: If the tea parties were so obviously irrelevant and stupid and fringe, then why even credit them with a response? Why not just do what Obama did and pretend like you didn’t know they were happening?

Garofalo is ridiculous … and, she ought to be oh, so THANKFUL that a slovenly, manlike actress such as herself has a JOB on a show where Conservatives seem to tolerate her – even though she’s made the statement that the “fans” of 24 suffer from mental illness.

  • Mickey

FOX owns Janeane Garofalo’s career right now. That’s funny.

If the writers from 24 had her character exposed as a spy or traitor the ratings would sky rocket. They should take advantage of the PR while the iron is hot. Otherwise her character adds very little to the show. She comes off as a wet towel in the personality arena. Her character doesn’t come off as an intelligent government programmer . It is like she strains to get any emotion out. Very bland. Her acting persona is more like the bitchy lesbian type with anger towards men.

FOX could write her off at any time and few would notice.

  • andophiroxia

    Ando,

    There’s a difference? Please explain.

Well, there’s the rub. She’s just screeching on tv, she isn’t really on any shows–except I guess for that one time on ’24′, but that’s about it….

You’re right. There really isn’t any difference, unless the movie is good and they are just talking from a script. However, since a lot of the film industry is really liberal…

Yeah, there really isn’t much difference. :)

Of course, selling him as a black only was also a lie.

Sad thing is when Obama is doing all the harm to our economy and security, I wonder when the black community will turn against him. In the realm of identity politics, where he is a BLACK president that really sets him up to an unrealistic standard (as with any group they choose to single out as favored), instead of based on his individual accomplishments.

That type of thought pattern in place, then he’s really messing up the black community if he turns out to be the worst president ever.

    Sad. :(

  • 2Hotel9

I love it. All our resident racists chime in to defend a racist. Far too fucking funny.

sanni? You are the one that insisted that anyone who uses race for personal or political gain is a racist. That make Janeane and your boy Barri racists. See how that works? Your Party, the Democrat Party sets the definition, and they know what it is because it describes them.

    Good job, buddy.

Taxation is the question and how the taxes are spent. We do have the ability to vote to change, but that process is in question with people like ACORN fabricating voters.

  • sayanything-2407

I wonder when the black community will turn against him.

Most times it won’t fully affect people or wake people up until they are actually physically hit in the pocket book. Only then, when it affects them, will they get involved or voice complaints.

It is unfortunate, but I know there are quite a few out there like this.

  • Peter Surette

Janeane Garofalo is a sad, brainwashed, lonely girl who obviously gets her facts from archie comics. She is so star struck by Obama that anyone who even appears to speak out against him has got to be a rascist redneck. She has no clue what the tea parties (or the Alamo) were about. She is a hate monger, a rascist, and a nasty, mean spirited girl that needs to open her eyes to what it is she is supporting. She is very happy that the government is bankrupting our country and would gladly support it. She needs to move to Venezuela, Cuba, Iran or even China or Russia for a few years and try speaking the way she does here. She hates America anyway so I say good riddance to her.

  • http://www.toadpond.com/ SuperToad

Playing the race card at the outset of every conflict has — since the election of the first [insert your term for not being fully of any race] to the Oval Office — been bumped up to the first defensive play in the Left’s playbook. Rather than debate facts, they shout “Racism!” in order to defend ineptitude.

Sadly, the pussified sheeple react with instant derision towards the target of the false accusation without evaluating the situation.

Someday soon — REALLY soon, I can only hope — these utterly false and malicious cries of racism will begin to resemble the boy who cried wolf.

But, until then, doing so gives them an easy out to ATTEMPT to silence their critics instead of having to use their brain and conduct a truly intellectual discussion.

Hannitized, you mention a few protest signs as possible examples of racism:

    1. “Obama, what’chu talkin bout Willis?”

    2. “Obama Bin Lyin”

    3. “Obama was not bowing, he was sucking Saudi Jewels”

Using the TOTUS’ name is not racist. That is, unless one worships at the altar of the Obamessiah.

The phrase “What’chu talkin ’bout Willis” is not racist. It has been a common phrase in the English language ever since that hilarious TV sitcom invented it. It has been on T-shirts and bumper stickers for decades.
Accusing Teh One!!!1! of lying is not racist. Nor is accusing him of sucking up to Islamists.

One has to really stretch to reach the conclusion that any of those is racist. However, exaggerating and distortion are both S.O.P. for race-baiters.

Just ask the real professional race hustlers Je$$e Jack$on and Al “I Have A Scheme” Sharpton. They’ll tell you.

  • deadrody

Sorry, but NO those are not “hate-full”. Give me a break. Are they politically incorrect ? Sure. That does not mean there is any “HATE” involved. You leftards and your fascination with hate crimes is creepy

I hate to say it (lookin at you PP), but Garofalo has a point. Read some of these signs:

sanity. I do not think it will hit them in their pocketbooks because they do not earn any money for the most part. About 40-50% of the US population over the age of 15, 16, 17 or 18 depending on how you count “wage earner” category up to age 67 now do not pay any income taxes.

These are the people who sponge off those who work for a living. This is what the tea parties were about.

When confronted with The Truth, liberals and law breakers squeal the loudest. I saw this while teaching school.

Quick question. And this question comes to mind every time I see a story about MSDNC, and that is; who is watching this channel anyway? Seriously!

If it weren’t for news stories like this, no one would know this station was on the air. Oh! I’m sorry, that’s right, they do pretty well on the weekends with their documentary reruns.

I do however, think it’s funny the way the left is reacting to losing their monopoly on protests. Hey! You can’t protest, that’s our thing!

Once again, the Republicans had to come in and show the Democrats how it’s done. You see, there was no need to set things on fire or anything like that. You have the right to a PEACEFUL protest, not the right to set the world afire or jump in cops faces trying to get a reaction.

As usual there is a RIGHT way to do things and then there is the Democrat way.

“Conservatives, Republican or Democrat have more class than any of these left wing loons. Sure, a few at the tea parties went a little overboard, and they are the ones that get all the attention from the left.”

If only that were really true from anybody. This whole board turned offensive and people got more entrenched in their own view. Nothing was achieved or learned here. This is why so many people have tuned out. The next generation aren’t interested in the rhetoric because the solution presented here is to just start belittling your opponent – maybe get out the frustrations of your daily life by taking it out on someone anonymous. What if a kid comes on here and reads this? Is this acceptable? It’s hard enough forming an opinion and voicing it without feeling like the person you’re talking with thinks your just a moron.

It took some serious lack of foresight to float that one side is classier than the other.

According to Gerofalo, unless it is a race related remark, no.

……do all these people hate white people?

The second sign has nothing to do with race. They are just picking on a policy.

The first link also has nothing to do with race, but it does go overboard to the extreme. The difference is that Bush was calling people who did not attack us, terrorists and attacking them as part of a war on terror. So they were countering on equal balance.

None of the signs I commented about did that.

  • andophiroxia

Did dumbass Garafolo actually GO to these tea parties, or is she whoring herself because she forsook a Hollywood career to be an idiot?

But taxpayers are fed up, bottom line.

The Democrat Neo-Marxists are no friend of the blacks:

    Interesting read:
    http://archive.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2004/6/22/162434.shtml

    FTA:

    - “For 150 years blacks were victims of terrorist attacks by the Democrats and their Klan supporters, including lynchings, beatings, rapes and mutilations” (Editor’s note: One of the most widely known Democratic ex-Klansman is Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia);

    - “On the issue of slavery, the Democrats literally gave their lives to expand it; the Republicans gave their lives to ban it;”

    - Many believed the Democrats had a change of heart and fell in love with blacks. To the contrary, history reveals the Democrats didn’t fall in love with black folks, they fell in love with the black vote knowing this would be their ticket to the White House.”

American history spanning 1832 to 2002 to arrive at the conclusion that Democrats are not real friends or allies of blacks.

“. . .Two familiar strains running through the cultural development of the American Black: the positive and powerful role of Christianity and the little-known and debilitating role of the Democrats — from slavery through the Clinton administration,” he writes.

He also notes current black leaders are also not serving the community well. “These conclusions may not be popular, but they are truthful and, as the Bible says, ‘You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.’”

Other black pundits and leaders have also noted that historically, Democrats employ a double standard when it comes to race relations and politics.

Writing in his syndicated column, radio talk show host Armstrong Williams pondered why Democrats were outraged when Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., former Senate majority leader, made an off-handed comment about former segregationist Sen. Strom Thurmond, but didn’t utter a word when Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., praised former Klansman colleague Robert Byrd.

There is no one I admire more, there is no one to whom I listen more closely and carefully when he speaks on any subject matter than Byrd“, Chris Dodd said.

Williams wrote, “For obvious reasons, Dodd neglected to mention that Byrd is a former Grand Kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan. Nor did Dodd dwell on the fact that Byrd voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964, or that Byrd broadcast his racial insensitivity by using the N-word during a 2001 appearance on Fox News.”

I like the way you think, Denice. I don’t hate anyone, but I am intolerant of those who are terrorists and those who believe in big government, high taxes and governing outside of the parameters set forth in our Constitution.

On the other hand as Pat Buchanan recently wrote about hateful liberals:

Liberalism has hardened into an ideology, a rabid religion that anathematizes any and all heretics.

Thus I am a racist to liberals. It’s how they discredit anyone who disagrees with their ideology.

  • dragon poker

You’re wrong on the president because with the president we have now we are unlikely to make progress with the former.

Uhh….nor any other viable candidate. It would have been the same regardless of the outcome of the elections.
Different shades of the same color would be the only minor difference.
This is bigger than Obama, and the establishment on both sides are playing folks like a fiddle, both right and left.
This is why some on the right(my side) seem so foolish. They falsely believe one side is more worthy than the other and defend that side even when though they show what they really are all the time. It isnt right vs. left. Its them vs. us and “us” doesnt even know it most of the time.

The government has us right where it wants us – beating each other up

I think this is very true, and the far end of both sides play right into it. Emotional reaction is what they want, and that is exactly what they get.

  • 2Hotel9

Answer the question. How is hating socialism racist?

  • Denice Laws

“No, it’s not. Are you perhaps shallow?”

Again, the logical skills for argument are missing, Spartacus, you have yet to convince me with persuasion or objectivity…

I’ll get this out of the way now, I’m a young, black Republican. I’m 30, I work as a reporter and I didn’t like seeing the signs about the new “white slavery”. Implying that if you’re not black you obviously don’t pay taxes, therefore this is only a white issue. I’m black, I pay taxes and I don’t like the misuse of them by the government who answers to all of it’s citizens.

I see that the topic has merit, but all of a sudden if anyone wants to have a logical argument based on real facts it turns into bipartisan mudslinging. I don’t know you, you don’t know me. If I were to start slinging mud at you, nothing comes of it.

Isn’t this really the issue at hand here? Garofolo started slinging mud so the fact that a very small group of people used the TEA party’s movement to vent their racist opinion became the only thing discussed. I think the TEA party was valid and interviewed my local demonstration for local news media. When someone like Garofolo makes a stink, why do we conservatives need to villify her? It becomes a double-edged sword. Make a statement as to why she’s right and wrong; then offer a SOLUTION to future demonstrations where those small groups are discouraged. That way the real issue of government overspending and improper tax use is addressed critically. The negative, creepy, racist, sexist comments are such a distraction and put-off. Why can’t people just own the bad with the good? Why is it all or nothing – and SOMEONE has to get thrown under the bus all of the time?

I was really proud of my community coming together in a peaceful demonstration openly discussing this issue. There were a few creepy signs and I mentioned it to the event organizer. My community is largely white, conservative – and embraces me as a person of color. I hope we have more demonstrations, but not addressing what went wrong weakens our case. Yes, some people came that shouldn’t have been there. Perhaps event coordinatoors could suppress those negative signs, or have a sign approval – if it’s about the improper tax use, great. If it’s racist rhetoric, it’s not allowed. I think that will speak volumes to the people who want to turn this into an issue that they can suppress with false claims. Let’s just own it, and move on.

  • Denice Laws

I really appreciated the few comments from people that really addressed the issue and stayed on topic.

    Thank you.

So, honey, all of the sudden I have to agree with everything you say to be a republican? Oh yessir massa… You’re probably one of those people who saw nothing wrong with any of the signs at those protests, either. I guess that according to your standards, black people are only allowed to be defined by what you tell them. I’m republican, not an ultra nutcase.

I don’t even know what you’re asking. “Answer the question – answer the question – answer the question”.

Well, here you go, massa: I’m a Republican because I don’t want to live off of any system that doesn’t directly involve my own work paying for my way through the world. If we become socialist, people become part of a damn machine that is dehumanizing. Like, um, I dunno – slavery.

BTW – most black people are democrats because at least most democrats try to respect their wishes when it comes to how they define themselves. Do you even have black friends?

Maybe you can make some comment now about how I’m an “uppity nigger” because I disagreed with you about something that made WHITE republicans look bad. Or you maybe could marginalize me next for being a woman.

    Ass.

  • Buzz

Now, tell us all again how much you hate Negroes

Why would I hate your step dad? I don’t even know him. So your mama is shacking up with a black dude, get over it already. That is usually what happens after they hit two and a half spins on the scale.

  • jimmypop

Anyone who can not admit those signs were pathetically hate-full and representation of bigoted mindset are having problems with their limbic system.

so when a black person holds a sign that says bush and the republicans are evil do they hate white people? just a guess… i bet you and this little chunk dont think so.

……do all these people hate white people?

btw – the politically correct term is African American not Negroes.

The slippery slope of falsely labeling free speech as “racism”.
It’s just the leftie redefinition game, again and again, until we will hardly be able to say anything without it being labeled as “racism”.

  • 2Hotel9

Janeane Garofalo, racist and anti-American asshole, projects her hate-filled ideology on real human beings. Yawn. Nothing new here.

  • Denice Laws

    2hotel9: As I stated earlier, I am a BLACK REPUBLICAN…

We prefer African American because it is a label we gave ourselves. Negroid is a name early 20th century white Sociologists gave to blacks as a descriptor to see if they could classify them as sub-human, For Example – Homo Sapien Caucasoid (white people)/Homo Sapien Negroid (black people) etc. These same sociologists tried to prove through facial features that black were directly descended from Gorillas, and therefore inferior.

“I have been politically active since the 1970s, and I have watched Democrats in state and Federal government repeatedly do and say the most racist, damaging things to all minorities, most especially to Negroes.”

If that were really true, you wouldn’t continue to call black people Negroes. BTW this was my quote from above:

“What nobody has really pointed out, and what I really don’t like about Garofolo’s argument, is that she will use the race card for her own purposes. That I should be grateful as a black woman that the liberals have chosen to abuse the race issue, something valid and rights long fought for, sickens me. I don’t need to be saved; I spoke up for myself.”

Before you start blasting away at someone and making baseless accusations, at least read what they bothered to take the time to write for your edification.

“Either you are an American or you are an enemy. Period. Now, answer the question, leftraded poser.”

?????? Your hatred has made you ineffectual in your arguments and I don’t respect that. Stop trying to REGULATE me with your hate rhetoric. You have made an ass out of yourself.

  • Denice Laws

Really? That was your comeback to that? Assuming I’m a racist Liberal. It’s getting deep in here…

  • http://www.toadpond.com/ SuperToad

The second sign has nothing to do with race. They are just picking on a policy.

Hannitized, you specifically quoted these signs as a defense of Garafalo’s point:

I hate to say it (lookin at you PP), but Garofalo has a point. Read some of these signs:

You mention “links”. Which links are you speaking of?

  • Denice Laws

    “Am I “hateful”? Fucking right I am. I hate…
    How is that racist?”

I’m seeing a dichotomy in your rhetoric. They call it a ‘Hate Crime’ for a reason, 2hotel9. So the oppressed becomes the oppressor… is that your justification? You’ve been a political activist since the ’70′s and I applaud your effort but if all it did was make you angry than where do you go from there? If there is no positive movement forward, what’s the point? Sabotaging all other efforts that don’t agree with a particular group while finding no common ground doesn’t make sense to me.

I’m not going to stay on this blog site for fear it will become unhealthy for me. I wish you luck and hope you find a way to move past your hate.

The government has us right where it wants us – beating each other up. We need to be together and take back our country. This has nothing to do with who’s president

Well you’re both right and wrong. You’re right when you say we need to work together to restore the peoples control over the government. You’re wrong on the president because with the president we have now we are unlikely to make progress with the former.

  • 2Hotel9

Really, spark? It listed the Democrat Party talkingpoints, in order, and that “kicks” my ass and proves it is a Republican how?

sanni, it is spewing your Party’s positions and claiming to be a Republican, that is the only reason you agree with it.

“denice”, I am calling you it because I don’t believe you are female or Black. And this,”I’m a Republican because I don’t want to live
off of any system that doesn’t directly involve my own work paying for my
way through the world.” is hilarious. You have outlined the Democrat/leftard position repeatedly, and that makes you a Republican. Too fucking funny.

  • Tired of Politics

“At any protest, there will be those who take advantage of the situation to express their ignorance, hatred, etc. The government has us right where it wants us – beating each other up. We need to be together and take back our country. This has nothing to do with who’s president.”

Imagine how many people, Republicans and Democrats, could really make a difference if they worked together. Slinging mud does not create change, it just makes the space even dirtier than it was before. I’m becoming more afraid of our anger towards each other than the terrorists.

Thank you, “nohatehere”! You are awesome!!

Denice, we white conservatives are just sick of being called racists because we don’t like Obama based on his politics. The race card has been used more than once, and the first time was too much.

  • nohatehere

I am a lifelong registered democrat who attended two tea parties in my state. The intent was to oppose out-of-control government spending. At any protest, there will be those who take advantage of the situation to express their ignorance, hatred, etc. The government has us right where it wants us – beating each other up. We need to be together and take back our country. This has nothing to do with who’s president.

When confronted with The Truth or any other situation they can not defend, ,,, the opposing side must be: racist. ? typical? not entirely, but after Al Sharpton’s success with Tawana Brawley and her lie, why not take the easy road?

  • Denice Laws

“Denice, we white conservatives are just sick of being called racists because we don’t like Obama based on his politics. The race card has been used more than once, and the first time was too much.”

WillHuntForFood: I can appreciate that. What I hope my fellow conservatives are also sick of is the view that conservatives are only white males. When these signs went up, someone should have immediately stamped them out. The fact that Janeane Garofolo had to point it out in her sideways commentary just goes to show how myopic we’ve become. There is a real need for American values that aren’t based in anything dealing with politics, sex or race. We’re screwing ourselves over right now with the hate talk.

  • 2Hotel9

“Some of these comments are just shameful…”

Denice? Care to point them out? Let us see what you are calling shameful?

I have been politically active since the 1970s, and I have watched Democrats in state and Federal government repeatedly do and say the most racist, damaging things to all minorities, most especially to Negroes. And yet you do not appear to want to hold them responsible for any of it, or to reverse any of the policies/programs that continue to destroy minority families and businesses and farms in America.

Am I “hateful”? Fucking right I am. I hate socialists, and I will never submit. Period. Full stop. How is that racist?

If this was just a tragic attempt by the other party to take a quick zing, I’d call it what it is, but it hurt the cause to be blind-sided like that.

  • docdave

Be careful with that ‘we’ Denice. I and I think I can speak for most of the conservatives that comment here have absolutely no problem with people of any race who are conservative minded. We do have a problem with the current administration and the Dem congress who we believe are trying to ruin the country with their reckless spending and their big government socialistic programs. The attempt to polarize the nation into distinct groups is not done by us but by people like Garfola and some media reporters. Since silence can mean assent we feel we must give voice against these people.

I like you believe that most Americans are people of good will but we have to come together somehow to share our mission. The tea parties have shown that they can provide a venue for physical contact. The blogs can provide the same for intellectual contact (unfortunately there are bloggers who relish in sabotaging our efforts). Perseverence is the a key element because it’s going to take a max effort to restore our country to government by the people.

  • andophiroxia

Playing the race card at the outset of every conflict has–since the election of the first [insert your term for not being fully of any race] to the Oval Office–been bumped up to the first defensive play in the Left’s playbook. Rather than debate facts, they shout “Racism!” in order to defend ineptitude.

Funny enough, some of the Obama voters are going, “YAY first black president!” then most of them will go, “Well, he’s not FULLY black, etc. etc.”

And we conservatives never really gave a shit about his color in the first place anyway.

  • Keenanjay

I just stumble in here but kept reading in fascination. It’s like the guy who can’t take his eyes off the deadly snake.
You conservatives are some meanfuckers! Wow. Some of the epithets you use against liberals and Democrats make a joke out of any pretensions to thougtfulness. And you take offense at some of the crap at the Tea parties as being racist?! I read far worse than that here!
Chief, uh…btw, you can’t decry being called a racist and then fling out the old Jackson and Sharpton cards. Get back to duty.
If more of you kept an open mind, there would be far less screaming and invective. Remember, Tim McVeigh came from your camp, not ours.

  • docdave

And we conservatives never really gave a shit about his color in the first place anyway.

Amen to that. Most of us had him pegged as an empty suit and a snake oil salesman which had nothing to do with his race or color. Of course, selling him as a black only was also a lie.

  • nohatehere

I’m curious as to haw many of the people posting here actually attended a tea party. My experiences were of very peaceful demonstrations. People across both parties were communicating their concern over what the government is doing to us. There were people of several races represented. As I wrote before, there are always those who act out of ignorance and hatred. This is certainly not the majority. However, this is what we read and hear about.
Newspapers are wondering why they are failing; when you consistantly report only the sensationalism, people will get tired of it. And Garafolo, well, she represents no one.
I again stress that we need to come together and have meaningful, constructive conversations. If we can’t get past our emotions, this two-headed monster that calls itself our government will easily be able to control us all.

  • Denice Laws

“Be careful with that ‘we’ Denice. I and I think I can speak for most of the conservatives that comment here have absolutely no problem with people of any race who are conservative minded.”

Docdave: Just so I’m not taken out of context, the we I refer to is all of Americans. “America” has become myopic, like we’re all a large pool of special interest groups and not an entire entity. I don’t think the people who put up those signs may have even realized what they looked like through my view. I didn’t stop being Republican, and all of my white conservative friends didn’t become suspect racists.

Point Blank: I personally didn’t like some of the signs and it made me cringe when I thought that my mom, a very liberal democrat, would drive by and see it because I knew how she’d take it. Then I’d hear the argument all over again that I’m nuts for joining the Republican party.

What nobody has really pointed out, and what I really don’t like about Garofolo’s argument, is that she will use the race card for her own purposes. That I should be grateful as a black woman that the liberals have chosen to abuse the race issue, something valid and rights long fought for, sickens me. I don’t need to be saved; I spoke up for myself. I don’t need liberals hiding behind my race’s issues and ‘crying wolf’ so that they don’t have to answer the real question at hand: where is the real solution to overspending and misuse of my tax money? I still think Obama is new to his office and I hope he listens to people regardless of their political leanings. I hope he saw the rallies for what they really were. America needs solutions right now, not this. I hope we have more demonstrations like this, and that white people would be considerate of their black friends and neighbors and leave the ‘iffy’ signs at home so the Janeane Garofolo’s of the world don’t have any wiggle room.

  • Mickey

Condoleezza Rice would of gotten the majority of Republican votes if she had run.

  • sayanything-2407

Garofalo please go back to your two bit parts of acting, because your acting like a political analyst is terrible.

There was more than just ‘white’ people there ms. Garofalo.

This wasn’t anything to do with race, though I am sure people like you want to paint it that way. After all why not, ms Garofalo, people like you have already painted these Americans as some sort of sexual misadventure, so it should have been obvious the next step was to turn this racial.

Hate to break it to you ms Garofalo but these tea parties were not about white power, it was about AMERICAN power.

    Hey Janeane -
I’m blonde, 5’6″, with green eyes. I think I was who you hated so much in high school. Remember how you couldn’t get a date? How’s that been working out lately?

Now, since you spent most of your school life obsessing about me instead of paying attention, you might be interested to know that those “rednecks” got this distinction from working outside in the sun primarily on farms and ranches to raise that food that apparently put you in the condition you are currently in. You really can’t blame them if you ate too much. Jenny Craig can help but please don’t do the bikini picture. There’s only so much we can take.

Suggestion: Wash the hair, work on that bitterness thing and get a face transplant. You’ll be fine

I look forward to seeing you at the reunion.

    Denise,

Welcome! You have brought an intelligent, honest and sincere argument to this post. This is something that SAB lacks most desperately.

    You said:

What nobody has really pointed out, and what I really don’t like about Garofolo’s argument, is that she will use the race card for her own purposes. That I should be grateful as a black woman that the liberals have chosen to abuse the race issue, something valid and rights long fought for, sickens me.

I believe I pointed out that she engaged in hyperbole for the sake of lashing back.

Actually, the lashing back comment was in another thread. But that is my belief. She has been attacked mercilessly and she made the foolish mistake of lashing back or making very outlandish mistakes.

I would be nice to debate rationally with someone from the other side. You should stick around and be the voice of reason. Most on this site have reduced themselves to making arguments only for the sake of wounding or spreading propaganda.

It, in turn, breeds more of the same.

    Enjoy you weekend.

They somehow believe that anyone who takes issue with them using racial epithets on public forums wants to control every aspect of their lives. It betrays their unfortunately severe paranoias and manias.
