Janeane Garofalo Not Backing Down On Comments About Racist Tea Party Protesters

On the day of the tax day tea parties, Janeane Garofalo went on Keith Olbermann’s show and suggested that the tea party movement was really a white power movement.  Her basis for saying that?  Well tea party protesters are conservatives and libertarians, so they must be racist.

You’d think, after making such a fool of herself, she’d be walking away from those comments.  But that would make sense, and I think “sense” waved bye-bye to Ms. Garofalo a long time ago.

The tea party movement has the liberals so scared their reactions to it are really sort of comical.

What’s sad is that people like Garofalo aren’t articulate enough to identify the grievances and ideals driving the tea party movement and then respond to those in a logical manner.  Poor Janeane is really sort of clueless, and so results to insults and derision.  Because that’s all she’s got the brains for.
