Is Early Buyers Remorse Starting To Set In With The Media Because Of Their Pro-Obama Bias?
They’ve had their heads stuck in the sand – or elsewhere – when it comes to Obama but some of the journalistic breeze may be starting to blow the other way.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not all better now because of a few recent stories that actually asked real questions. Many of the media are still burying the negative stories that are coming to light one by one in a completely shameless and utterly transparent way.
Take for instance the LA Times admission that it has a video of Obama making nice at a Jew bashing party with Rashid Khalidi, and William Ayers (that guy who just lives on the same block as Obama) and their adamant refusal to release it. Some real journalism going on there, eh?
Another example of their continual atempts to pull a journalistic rug over any dirt that shows up on their hero is their steadfast refusal to hold Obama accountable for his taped disdain for the Constitution and his stated desire to see “redistribution of wealth” legistlated into law. Scary stuff that should be front page news in every newspaper and the lead story on every news broadcast in the country.
Instead, we hear crickets and, if it’s addressed at all, spin that makes Dorothy’s tornado look like a spring breeze.
But….something’s happened in the past few days that makes me think that at least some of the journalists who have been heretofore quite quiet on some of these issues are beginning to speak up – and out loud. And that doesn’t set well with the Obama crowd.
WFTV in Florida actually asked Biden some tough questions about Obama’s now famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) statement to Joe the Plumber about spreading the wealth. Biden was outraged as was the Obama campaign in general and have hung a leper’s sign around the neck of that station.
Then, just a few days later, CBS 3 out of Philadelphia had the audacity to do the same thing with much the same results. When the tough questions started Biden cried , “Whoa, whoa, whoa!” And then cried to the campaign that the reporters were being mean to him. Wah.
In any case, I’m wondering if this could be a beginning of just a twinge of buyer’s remorse on the part of the media. They’ve all piled on the Obama bus, one big happy, left wing family, but now with the familiarity that inevitably comes with close quarter contact, I suspect that a sort of wariness is building, even though it’s against their own wishes.
Another recent example is this CBS story about Obama’s questionable fund raising. That’s right. CBS.
Anyway there are several more recent examples out there, such as the ABC reporter who said he was ashamed to call himself a journalist because of the blatant media bias towards Obama.
So…is buyer’s remorse – and perhaps a bit of self loathing – starting to set in with at least some of the media as it becomes more and more obvious that the man is a not quite on the up and up and maybe even more than a bit on the shady side?
Maybe. Looks that way. But, with just a week to go, it’s probably way too little, way too late.
