Is Castro Dead?

It is being rumored that Cuban dictator Fidel Castro may have died.

Not quite time to pop the champagne corks yet, but we can hope no?

Update:

This is beginning to appear unlikely.

Oh well.

It isn’t just his control over government resources we’re angry about, Malick.  It is his control over everything else.  Like free speech?  Free assembly?  Due process of law?  Democracy?  The free market place?

He oppresses his people, but go ahead and try to tell me how he’s a great guy.

The war against illegal plunder has been fought since the beginning of the world. But how is… legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish this law without delay … If such a law is not abolished immediately it will spread, multiply and develop into a system.

Hey malik, why can’t the resources be controlled by the citizens instead of the Revolutionary Commitee? You know, like citizens making the choice to fish out in the Caribean. Oh! Thats right, given a choice they run away from Castro and his Revolutionary Commitee thugs as fast as they can. Why do you think that is?
