Is North Dakota’s Department Of Motor Vehicles Racist?

I had to laugh when a reporter friend forwarded me this press release from the North Dakota Department of Transportation.

“The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) reminds motorists when titling and registering vehicles to please bring identification,” reads the release. “State law requires all applicants to use their legal name when titling or registering a vehicle.”

That seems like a common sense regulation to me, aimed at preventing theft and fraud.

Of course, when similar commons sense regulations are applied to voting, it’s considered raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacist. Because, if our friends on the left are to be believed, minorities aren’t smart enough to obtain a valid ID for themselves even when it’s offered for free.
