Iraqis: Why Are The Democrats Doing This To Us?

Omar Fadhil, writing at Pajamas Media:

Instead coming up with ideas to help the US Democrats are trying to stop the effort to stabilize Iraq and rescue the Middle East from a catastrophe.

I am an Iraqi. To me the possible consequences of this vote are terrifying. Just as we began to see signs of progress in my country the Democrats come and say, ‘Well, it’s not worth it.Time to leave’.

To the Democrats my life and the lives of twenty-five other million Iraqis are evidently not worth trying for. They shouldn’t expect us to be grateful for this.

For four years everybody made mistakes. The administration made mistakes and admitted them. My people and leaders made mistakes as well and we regret them.

But now, in the last two months, we have had a fresh start; a new strategy with new ideas and tactics. These were reached after studying previous mistakes and were designed to reverse the setbacks we witnessed in the course of this war.

This strategy, although its tools are not yet even fully deployed, is showing promising signs of progress.

General Petraeus said yesterday that things will get tougher before they get easier in Iraq. This is the sort of of fact-based, realistic assessment of the situation which politicians should listen to when they discuss the war thousands of miles away.

The problem is that the Democrats aren’t listening.

But why when a Sunni bomb goes off killing Shi’a do the Shi’a crowds gather, and tell reporters that they blame the Americans?

Why when Sunnis are kidnapped by Shi’a militia, do the Sunnis rant against the Americans?

And now 98% of the Sunni Arabs say that all attacks on Americans are justified and that they personally approve of them, and 75% of the Shi’a say the same thing.

Only the Kurds express, by a large majority, lack of approval for such attacks.

It is a matter of garbage in and garbage out!

1. The Democrats are bankrupt of ideas and they know it, but their lust for power to advance their socialist agenda is insatiable. The only way to get and keep that power is by selling perpetual victimhood, class warfare, defeatism, the politics of personal destruction, dissatisfaction, negativity and attack everyone and everything, promising in the most vague terms, because of their compassion (feel your pain) to cure all problems with no costs, no personal responsibility and no work. So every day they program garbage into the national mind via their co-conspirators the MSM. When we see a public turning against the war, the military and the country it is simply a matter of Democrat Party garbage in and their garbage out!

I had ended this post without an example of what I mean, so I’ll add it here. I work with a black woman, a Christian, very sweet and doing extremely well in every area of her life. The other day some people were talking about racism, this lady was saying it was still pretty bad in America. Casually, I mentioned that in my six decades of life I had witnessed great growth in race relations and a drastic diminishing of racism. This lady angrily proclaimed there had been no progress in America in my lifetime, none at all. No matter how she has succeeded in life and how she has been accepted as equal to and in many cases superior to her caucasian counterparts, she has been so sold on being a victim by the Left nothing to the contrary will ever convince her that things have changed for the better.

2. Partly because of Democrats here and European Socialist propaganda, this same evil negative garbage is being spoon fed to the world. Add this to the garbage of the militant Islam in places like Iraq, wherein all these forces are painting America as inherently evil because of our success in the world, can we be shocked when even those we are fighting to rescue are pouring out anti-American hate filled garbage?

It is all Leftist Garbage here and abroad, combined with Islamic extremism being poured liberally into the hearts and minds of the world, so all we get is garbage back.

I partly blame Bush, he is such a piss poor ambassador for his own programs and even great successes that, we have no effective voice to counter Liberalism and Islamic extremism. Our only hope is to find another Reagan, someone having solid core values and the ability to effectively launch a counter propaganda campaign. Until then, I expect the negative garbage to continue to grow!

I have to stop delaying things now and do some dang old yard work and pay bills, back at you later with more of my cracker barrel philosophy.

No matter the age or state of health, for a military man it is always glorious to tilt at windmills, rescue a fair Dulcinea and be a gallant knight in armor in a glorious cause.

We live in a time of great moronitude. Morons, everywhere, rising from their morasses, massing and moving forward. In their multitudes, the morons march inexorably to the moronocy.  The road is not easy. Some will fall by the way. Others, struggling moronically, will rise to blithering new heights of moronality.

Michelle Malkin has a good idea:

The White Feather Postcard Campaign

Grass roots bloggers or tools?
Mohammed Fadhil, and Omar’s bother,
both visitors to the oval office
said in 2004:

Now we want to say in a loud and clear voice that we welcome American troops and consider this a liberation, not an occupation.” Fadhil added: “People outside Iraq are more worried than the Iraqis themselves.”
