Iraqi Army In Control Of Basra

Interesting:

There are signs of the militias’ hold on the city weakening, says our correspondent.

There are reports of women dressing less conservatively, couples walking arm-in-arm and live music being played at weddings - all things that would have been impossible a few weeks ago, adds our correspondent.

It’s almost like we’re winning the war or something.  But don’t tell Democrats lest they find themselves without a campaign issue this fall.

The sad news is that any good news will be ignored because piggy Pelosi has already announced we lost Basra and it will be old news to change it now.  What a pathetic world we live in, I vote we cut the US in half (or by percentages of each) and let the liberals have their side.  Guess who would be destroyed first?  Hell, Mexico would run that place even if terrorists or communists didn’t first!  Not us, we’ll be clinging to our guns, building our military, and growing our capitalist society.  (PS.  for the record, I’ve never owned a gun but support private ownership completely).
