Iraq Marketplace McCain Visited Last Year Too Dangerous For Americans To Visit Now

According to CNN:

I’m not buying it.  This is according to CNN and their “security advisers” and given the way the press responded to McCain’s visit to this market last year (you can hear them questioning the market’s safety with talk about how McCain was heavily guarded) I’m not inclined to trust them now.

Yes, McCain was heavily guarded when he visited that market last year.  But McCain is a US Senator and was, even then, a Presidential candidate.  His visit to that market was unprecedented in the Iraq war for a politician of his stature, so our military was taking no chances.  The media casts his heavy detail as proof that the market wasn’t as safe as he was claiming, but the reality is that someone like McCain making a visit of that sort in Iraq is going to get that kind of protection regardless.

This is all spin.  Iraq is improved, but nobody on the left wants to admit it.

CNN lost its credibility about fifteen years ago.  It began as a great network, just leaving the cameras on and panning the scenes, but not much talk.  That soon ended.  Remember, Ted’s 2nd?  wife was? is? Jane Fonda aka Hanoi Jayne.

Can’t wait to see Obama or Clinton in the Iraq Marketplace.  Oh wait… how would Barack explain the cheering mobs?

Seems to me that the CNN footage stands for itself, Jack, without any need to provide Think Progress’ rather stupid commentary on it.

The war against illegal plunder has been fought since the beginning of the world. But how is… legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime. Then abolish this law without delay … If such a law is not abolished immediately it will spread, multiply and develop into a system.

Let me guess.... Think Progress is a liberal site?
Odd how those folks always ‘think’ progress but never make any.

CNN kissed Saddam’s a$$ so they could stay in Iraq and share in the stolen oil for food money. No one has called them to task for that, yet. They have lied from day one, does anyone think they will change now?
