Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad To Speak At Columbia University

Meanwhile, military recruiters and former Harvard President Larry Summers aren’t welcome on many US college campuses.

To be clear, I don’t have much of a problem with Ahmadinejad visiting Columbia.  I think the best thing to do with cruel idiots like that one is to give them enough of the proverbial rope to hang themselves.  Nothing exposes evil for what it is like a big, fat shining spotlight.

My only problem is that while America’s college campuses are willing to open their doors to people like Ahmadinejad and Hugo Chavez (who lectured at college campuses during his last visit to America), people like Summers are denied access.  And people like Ann Coulter, David Horowitz and Jim Gilcrhist of the Minutemen are allowed to be pestered and bum-rushed off stage with no repercussions for the hooligans responsible.

It’s a sign of the times, I guess, but not a very pleasing one.

“I think the economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage country is impeccable and we should face up to that”—Larry Summers

Gee, I wonder why he isn’t the most popular guy with educated types. (But the SAB righties will love him.)

But the SAB righties will love him.

But not as much as you lefties love tyrants that hate our country.

One of the most important talents for success in politics is the ability to make utter nonsense sound not only plausible but inspiring. Barack Obama has that talent. We will be lucky if we escape the catastrophes into which other countries have been led by leaders with that same charismatic talent.

Muslims Against Sharia condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the decision of Columbia University to provide a speaking venue for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Apparently letting Akbar Rafsanjani speak at the National Cathedral was not the height of American Dhimmitude, because providing a venue for the world’s foremost anti-Semite, whose proclaimed goal is the destruction of the USA and Israel, definitely takes the cake. What is surprising is that we don’t hear any complaints from Columbia alumni who should be ashamed of their silence.
