Iranian Official: Gays Should Be Hanged Or Tortured - Or Both

Well, that sort of clears up any ambivalence about their attitude towards the subject, doesn’t it? From the Times Online:

Homosexuals deserve to be executed or tortured and possibly both, an Iranian leader told British MPs during a private meeting at a peace conference, The Times has learnt.

Mohsen Yahyavi is the highest-ranked politician to admit that Iran believes in the death penalty for homosexuality after a spate of reports that gay youths were being hanged.

Is “learnt” a word? Just asking. Anyway, it appears that the Religion of Peace has a pretty dim view of homosexuals and in keeping with their benevolent, kind, loving and generous philosophy of life they not only want to hang them, they want to torture them first. Nice. It isn’t only gays that get to benefit from their tolerant ways:

The latest row involves a woman hanged this June in the town of Gorgan after becoming pregnant by her brother. He was absolved after expressing his remorse. Britain said that this demonstrated the unequal treatment of men and women in law and breached Iran’s pledge to restrict the death penalty to the most serious crimes.

Love means never having to say you’re sorry. Unless, of course, you live in Iran and you impregnate your sister. Then a simple, “Oops, my bad,” is apparently enough to get you off the hook. They can go ahead and hang your sister, though. Makes perfect sense to me.

All snark aside, when will the left in this country wake up to the fact that these people are not their friends? When will groups like CAIR, which refuses to recognize issues like this, be completely discredited? The problem is that the left refuses to recognize that there is in fact evil in this world. Moral equivalence doesn’t work with people like this.

And one more thing…I’d say that a country which ranks number two worldwide in internet searches for child porn doesn’t have a whole lot of moral ground to stand on when it comes to judging someone’s sexual preferences.

Incredible.
