Investment Firm Crushed by Threat by White House to Destory it Via the Press

What a bunch of thugs.

A leading bankruptcy attorney representing hedge funds and money managers told ABC News Saturday that Steve Rattner, the leader of the Obama administration’s Auto Industry Task Force, threatened one of the firms, an investment bank, that if it continued to oppose the administration’s Chrysler bankruptcy plan, the White House would use the White House press corps to destroy its reputation.
Perella Weinberg Partners, Lauria said, “was directly threatened by the White House and in essence compelled to withdraw its opposition to the deal under the threat that the full force of the White House press corps would destroy its reputation if it continued to fight. That’s how hard it is to stand on this side of the fence.”
All four financial institutions are recipients of up to $100 billion in federal government bailout funds, though the Obama administration insists the matters were kept completely separate. All four financial institutions are recipients of up to $100 billion in federal government bailout funds, though the Obama administration insists the matters were kept completely separate.

So if you don’t cooperate the willing lapdogs in the press will do the Obama-thugs bidding and destroy these guy’s reputations. Now maybe you’re not to concerned about their reputations, but the executives at AIG who were paid what they were promised to be paid can tell you how intimidating the full court attacks by Team Obama can be.
The AIG executives had to worry for their safety. Aside from that the attacks can ruin your business.
Any question that the Democrats and the White House Press corp are working hand in glove to carry out Obama’s plans of taking as much as our freedom as they can?
Shame on both of them.
Update; I see the White House Press Corp is doing some cutting edge reporting. The Obama’s had a date! Then they went for a WALK on the White House lawn.

As Allah at HotAir said. These guys know they’re going to get hammered for the worship stories on Obama but they don’t care. They’re in love.

It’s good to embrace your inner Stalin, Dino.

    These hedge fund assholes…

Like George Soros? He’s the biggest and richest “hedge fund asshole” of them all, but not a peep from the extreme left wing about him. I guess he has bought your silence, little dino.

Sorry fellas, these hedge funds are only thinking of themselves. That’s what got us here in the first place. It’s best explained here:

Getting all Hugo Chavez on the hedge funds

These are not ordinary times, and Wall Street hedge fund operators, in particular, should not expect ordinary practices to continue, especially when their own reckless lending played such a large role in contributing to today’s mess. This is not a case of Barack Obama channeling Hugo Chavez. This is a case where the government’s view of what is good for the country is at clear odds with the financial interests of a small group of speculators.

Sacrifices have been made by many. Wall Street needs to understand that they’re going to sacrifice too. Fuck em. They’d all be in prison if liberals like me were in power. Seriously. There needs to be some prison time for what went on.

Comparing personal rights like gay marriage to the right to fuck over your country is stupid.

These hedge fund assholes aren’t doing what’s best for the country. They should be glad all they’re getting is strong-armed.

People like me would round them up and put them in re-education camps after taking away all their money.

There’s a reason why I don’t respond to Robert anymore. He is certifiably insane. Stuck on one single idea and is immovable.

But at least I don’t pussy out like that twat Potato and block him while arguing with him one way!

The reality of hedge funds is that they give those who anticipate trends to profit from being right about the direction of the trend.

There is another, less savory reality where hedge funds are concerned; the deliberate manipulation of trends and markets by hedge investors to benefit themselves – at the expense of all others.

    Do we agree on something?

I would be careful with your answer. :)

I updated the post to show what kind of coverage the white house press corps is doing. Date night for the Obamas!

“These hedge fund assholes” are protecting the people who are invested in these companies. Anyone who has an IRA, 401K or any other retirement savings is being protected by “These hedge fund assholes”, not by Barri. His whole intention is to either steal or destroy the retirement savings of Americans.

There’s a reason why I don’t respond to Robert anymore.

I guess you finally got tired of being smacked with the truth every time you lie.
Besides, you never have any arguments for your positions on anything, and never have any counterarguments to those against your positions.
Better you cut and run, little dino.

True, which is why I mentioned George Soros in my first comment on this thread. Some people put their money in banks, other people rob them. Go figure. In any case, it was the market rigging by the Dems that made all the rest possible.

In this case it seems like nothing unsavory like that. This company was helping provide the high risk financing for Chrysler.

This appears to be a bunch of honest people who’s business became inconvenient to Obama’s takeover of the economy.

    How about that watchdog press?

  • robert108

Name me one time that liberalism didn’t win. One.

As long as you point the finger at George Soros, where it belongs.

  • sayanything-2407

We begin to see when the ‘watchdog’ has its teeth removed, it slobbers all over the place.

So it has become with the media.

All I want is the media to be FAIR in its reporting, give the good and the bad, ask the difficult questions.

I guess journalism is dead it seems.

  • pparets

    Do we agree on something?

    Yes.

    Was I careful enough?

    Obama’s fascist takeover continues…

  • robert108

Sorry fellas, these hedge funds are only thinking of themselves. That’s what got us here in the first place.

You keep repeating the same lie, little dino, remaining stuck on stupid. What got us there in the first place was the Dem social engineering affirmative action home loan mandates that created the housing bubble.
For uneducated little dino, hedge funds make money in time of loss, which was created when the Dem social engineering housing bubble burst. The reality of hedge funds is that they give those who anticipate trends to profit from being right about the direction of the trend. The trend was created by the Dems rigging the home finance market, in multiple ways, and covering up their market rigging with Fannie and Freddie buying up the bad paper they created.
Obama was part of the Congress that contributed to this problem, and he now wants to blame others for his mistakes and the mistakes of his Party.

    They’re watching and they’re applauding.

    What more do you want?

These hedge fund assholes aren’t doing what’s best for the country.

And “what’s good for the country” is whatever Obama says it is?

So, if Obama said that banning gay marriage was for the good of the country, would that be ok too?
