Interesting Development

From the USA Today article via Drudge Report and Ole Miss Conservative:

The FBI alerted law enforcement agencies last month that an al-Qaeda terrorist now in detention had talked of masterminding a plot to set a series of devastating forest fires around the western United States.

Rose Davis, a spokeswoman for the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, told The Associated Press that officials there took note of the warning but didn't see a need to act further on it.

There is no definitve proof of arson involved with this blaze in California, but if it is a terrorist act it is indeed a successful one.

We need to keep in mind that the front for the war on terrorism is not defined. These people can attack us from anywhere including from within our own borders.

My thoughs go out to those effected by the fires. I'm sure our firemen and rescue crews are doing their best.
