Innocents In Jail
Recently authorities re-opened 40 criminal cases in Dallas involving incarcerated citizens. Of those 40 re-opened cases 17 of the convicted were completely exonerated and released from prison.
That’s a near 50% error rate, and what’s worse is that every one of those errors means someone’s life ruined by imprisonment for years for crimes they didn’t commit.
With America putting more people in prison per capita than any other country in the world I think it’s high time we took a long, hard look at our justice system.
