Images Of Terror

Beslan6.jpg

This terrified little boy was holding his hands over his head and fearing for his life because the adult terrorists that took over his school didn't like Russian policy. Much like the terrorists who have attacked Americans didn't like U.S. policy.

I'm tired of politicians and pundits trying to "put terror in perspective" by pointing out that these people are fighting for some sort of cause, be it the reclamation of land by the Palestinians or whatever. Let me be clear on this: There is no reason good enough to justify terrorism. There is no cause holy enough to justify murdering innocent children or unarmed civilians.

Update:

Rusty Shackleford has more as does In The Bullpen who points out this from the Sunday Mirror:

While despairing soldiers and rescue workers moved among the growing pile of body bags, it was revealed that an 18-month-old baby had been repeatedly stabbed by a black-clad terrorist who had run out of ammunition.

Other survivors told how screaming teenage girls were dragged into rooms adjoining the gymnasium where they were being held and raped by their Chechen captors who chillingly made a video film of their appalling exploits.

Update 2:

Apparently taking children hostage is going to be a trend among Islamic terrorists.

Telegraph - An extremist Islamic cleric based in Britain said yesterday that he would support hostage-taking at British schools if carried out by terrorists with a just cause.

Omar Bakri Mohammed, the spiritual leader of the extremist sect al-Muhajiroun, said that holding women and children hostage would be a reasonable course of action for a Muslim who has suffered under British rule.

In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Mr Mohammed said: "If an Iraqi Muslim carried out an attack like that in Britain, it would be justified because Britain has carried out acts of terrorism in Iraq.

"As long as the Iraqi did not deliberately kill women and children, and they were killed in the crossfire, that would be okay."

Mr Mohammed, 44, who lives in Edmonton, north London, but is originally from Syria, also claimed that the Chechen rebels were not responsible for the deaths of more than 350 people - at least half of them children - who are so far known to have died in Beslan.

Consider also that Muslim leaders in America have also claimed that they suffer under "civil rights" violations in this country. How long until these people justify murdering children as a way to avenge that perceived injustices?
