I’m Out For The Weekend

Well folks, I'm off to beautiful Kulm, ND for a weekend with the future in-laws. We've got a wedding to attend, and the town is having some 4th of July festivities over the weekend.

As such, posting will likely be pretty light. I'll probably sneak back for a post or two, but mostly I'll be busy.

One cool thing is that it turns out that SA reader/contributor/regular commenter Gene is going to be back in North Dakota visiting family in the area near Kulm. He and I are probably going to be meeting up on Sunday. Any of you other North Dakotans out there in the Kulm/Edgely/Oakes area should shoot me an email (contact info on the left sidebar) and I'll see what I can do about meeting up.

Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend.

My hometown (Hannaford, ND) is having it’s centennial weekend. Good for it.

If you’re in Oakes, make sure you stop at the Angry Beaver.

Bis, I stopped in there last fall when I was down at Oakes for a funeral.  Great place.

Hope you are having a great weekend, rob.

While you were gone, your blog was hijacked by Rodney G. Graves who now bans, deletes posts and stops comments on threads, turning your debate and discussion board into a forum for his oratory.

What keeps your board interesting and lively is the interplay of personalities and opinions.  What he would like is to stand at a podium, spotlighted, with total silence all around him and folks anticipating his every word, and grace we lowly peons with his ‘great wisdom’.

I hope you will preserve what you have built and not allow one super-ego to discourage the spice of life that makes for interest.

As I understand it, your rules for censor and banning do not include simply expressing another opinion from the subject title’s author.

Thank you and again I hope you had a fun weekend.

How come Hot Rodney has the power and I don’t.

Not fair.  I’m filing a grievance with the Union.
