I’ll Bet He Does Know How It Got There

Oh my…

MULTAN, Pakistan (Reuters) – Fateh Mohammad, a prison inmate in Pakistan, says he woke up last weekend with a glass lightbulb in his anus.
Wednesday night, doctors brought Mohammad’s misery to an end after a one-and-a-half hour operation to remove the object.
“Thanks Allah, now I feel comfort. Today, I had my breakfast. I was just drinking water, nothing else,” Mohammad, a grey-beared man in his mid-40s, told Reuters from a hospital bed in the southern central city of Multan.

This made me squirm a bit…

“We had to take it out intact,” said Dr. Farrukh Aftab at Nishtar Hospital. “Had it been broken inside, it would be a very very complicated situation.”

Complicated doesn’t even begin to describe it. It’s nearly impossible for me to get all the glass from a broken bulb off the linoleum floor in my kitchen. I can’t even imagine doing it in…there.
Ick.
Regardless, no one just wakes up with a lightbulb in their ass. Clearly, Mr. Mohammad was probably just a little bored in his cell…

    Call me crazy…

Diane blames the guard, and turns around and then states that no one can blame the prisoner without inside infomation. Since she blames the guard, does this mean Diane has inside information on situations like these?

SA Poll: Is her inside information as the guard? or the prisoner?

    (was that too far?)

  • http://www.wholewheatblogger.com/ Steve

Diane, I’m so sorry you can’t blame this on America.

  • http://www.wholewheatblogger.com/ Steve

It is very possible the prisoner did this himself. Do a little searching and you’ll find all sorts of interesting things stuffed where they don’t belong.

  • http://www.fileitunder.com/ Rob B.

Disagreeable nature is his good side, you should see him when he’s actually “jolly.” It’s devistating.

Still, it’s very doubtful that got up there, without his help, in one piece.

And Diane, I have to remind you that “rape isn’t about sex, it’s about power.” That’s illuminating, eh?

  • robert108

Yes, but she has never demonstrated any evidence of having a sense of humor. I’m sure she didn’t get it.

  • http://www.bikebubba.blogspot.com/ Robert Perry

Diane, I’m extremely hurt by your commendation. :^)

And yes, there are plenty of decent people in the third world. I’d simply note that prison isn’t ordinarily the best place to meet them. :^)

And Diane is entirely correct to note that one of the major problems in prisons–especially those in the U.S.–is homosexual rape. (shame on you, hoodlumman, for that obnoxious comment….we can agree without being disagreeable, sir)

And you are #1A, by that last comment, and on the basis of your entire history commenting here.

    Clueless Robert108 yelps:
Yes, but she has never demonstrated any evidence of having a sense of humor. I’m sure she didn’t get it.

Even Paulie got it. Clueless, that’s why I said pun was intended. Sheeeeeeeeeeeesh. I think my sense of humor is demonstrated just by showing up here, considering.

I’m pretty sure it couldn’t get there intact without his cooperation.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

What? Lots of ‘things’ get ‘in there’ without people’s cooperation. It’s called ‘rape’. And there’s something VERY wrong with that, if that’s what happened. But Paulie, I never blamed the guard, I just suggested that was an option to balance yours.

And by the way, though he probably wouldn’t want them from me, I give them anyway to honest Robert Perry, who can see the logic in how it might have happened. Thank you, Robert. I know you don’t care for me or my opinions, but you are apparently a decent/honest man when it comes to not being blinded to logic by your politics.
That’s rare here and stands out from the crowd.

Most civilized people want the light bulb to turn on in the brain, here is a good illustration these Arabs apparently have got their ends mixed up.

Ah, that must be one of those non-racial comments, lik is referring to, telling me I’m the only one that cares about race here.

Robert Perry, a gentleman as usual. Yourself, Tu, MikeA; there are still some reasons to TRY to communicate here. Not many, granted, but a few.

And Diane, I have to remind you that “rape isn’t about sex, it’s about power.” That’s illuminating, eh?

Not really. I knew that. Just like on this board. It’s not about insulting me; it’s about trying to compensate for peoples’ lack of self-esteem and intelligence.

Methinks Diane may be a conjugal visit fanatic. I wonder if she’s as generous towards U.S. sailors on shore leave?

Congratulations. I’m placing you in position #2B, directly under Boy, in the Most Stupid Poster of the Year awards here at Say ANYTHING (if you’re a radical, right-wing, BushWhacked fanatic).

  • Paulie B

Thanks, but I cannot take credit for the ‘inside information’ bit. That was all Diane.

    Abu Ghraib.

    (via reader Paulie B)

Or maybe a guard was a little bored? And the man is afraid to say what really happened under threat of more of the same or worse?

  • diane

Oh…and I have a Pakistani friend who is much more civilized than most here. Robert Perry, tying it into Pakistan I totally disagree with. It happens in U.S. prisons regularly.

But then, folks here don’t like to acknowledge such things. Not faux patriotic.

  • robert108

“Inside information”? That’s too funny. Good one, Paulie.

  • http://www.bikebubba.blogspot.com/ Robert Perry

Rob, from what I’ve heard, you don’t argue or fight with a 3rd world prison guard unless you want to be taken out of the prison with the sheet over your head, if you catch my drift. I’ve got missionary friends who have spent time in 3rd world prisons, and suffice it to say that they’re not nice places.

I won’t say for sure that it’s a guard, but either a guard or fellow prisoners sounds fairly likely.

Could be boredom, but that’s not the most likely scenario, IMO.

  • diane

    Don’t panic, Robert Perry! ;)

What I meant to give you are kudos.

    Just in a hurry. Sorry.

  • Jesse

Hey these people have proved over and over and over they aren’t exactly rational, so he really don’t need to explain why he put the bulb up there.

Most civilized people want the light bulb to turn on in the brain, here is a good illustration these Arabs apparently have got their ends mixed up.

Maybe it is a cry for help out of the depths of despair, poor thing down to such simple ways of pleasing Allah. Well he’s doing what he can, can’t really strap on a bomb to earn his 72 virgins in prison now, can he? I wonder if Allah provides more virgins if the light bulb breaks??

As the world turns in the Arab Parallel Universe…….

Oh and Diane, you really got the tinfoil hat dialed in. Reception was especially good last night huh??

  • robert108

    More “inside information”?

Nor can you blame it on the prisoner, unless you have ‘inside’ information. Pun very much intended.

  • Mickey

You know when you get a great idea, and that little light goes off over your head….

well Fateh Mohammad has his brain in his ass.

  • http://www.bikebubba.blogspot.com/ Robert Perry

Given that this is Pakistan and the victim is in jail, we can’t blame alcohol or drugs for this. I tend to agree with Diane–somebody did this to him, and he’s scared to tell (and glad to be alive). Perhaps a guard, perhaps fellow inmates.

Or, to put it in the words of a friend of mine who’s a 3rd world missionary, “third world prison ministry doesn’t appeal to me.”

  • http://sayanythingblog.com robport

Robert, I doubt a guard did it to him. How would you get a lightbulb in without it breaking when you’re fighting a struggling prisoner?

I think he did it himself to get his jollies.
