To think , if 3 Reps, one being Pomeroy, would have voted no, this huge tax would have been dead. The fact that this was so close gives me comfort that it is dead in the senate. Oh and Rob, the bill wasn’t voted on in the middle of the night. The debate started early yesterday morning and it was through the Republic delaying and stalling tactics (which is their right to do) that the vote came at around 11:15 p.m. Hardly the middle of the night.

If the republics wanted to really kill this bill they would have followed Shadded and vote present like he wanted. But the republics were too concerned about their reelection and the fact that the right to lifers sent out their marching orders to the republics and said they would use the vote in their voting record so the republics caved. Ahhhh….politics of the republics.
Once the bill is passed and becomes law and people see that they can no longer be thrown off their health insurance for specious reasons and that they can’t be rejected for preexisting conditions like being a woman, the general public will be just fine.

When the general public is talked to about what’s actually in the bill they support it. You just want to scream and yell socialism, fascism, communism, Hitlerism. We’ll talk about coverage for preexisting conditions, no recission on the part of insurance companies and we’ll see who the public supports.

This present administration obviously cares nothing about the people of this country. It’s the typical Dem “ruling elite” attitude.
